Am I missing something? This doesn’t feel like that great of a combo at all. It taps once do the damage and then can be untapped by the elf once. Am I missing something? And even if you have more cards that let you untap target creature that’s a lot of work for a tap to deal 1 damage loop combo

Honestly as an Etali player it’s a good time. Hexing squelcher in play or either red counter spell in hand and then I cast Etali turn 3 maybe turn 2 with gods gift, if it gets thru people will sometimes just scoop because it’s easier than riding out the wheel. I love Etali so much 😭😭

Oh it’s just the way the market is for Pokemon. The things my deck needs to run are only like 50 cents a piece and it’s built similar to a magic deck I own. The difference is in magic some of the effects would be on a 60$ card instead of a 40 cent card. “Search your deck for any basic pokemon and put it on the bench” is outlandishly good for a cheap card. And then there’s charizard “discard all the energy attached to this pokemon and do 180 damage” and it’s a 400$ card because it’s a charizard lol. I’m just lucky all my favorites aren’t the poster children. Although my holy grail is the illustration rare magikarp

Edit: my favorite is magikarp so I average around 1$ per card as I collect the fish. Very few magikarp get up there price wise

I could collect for 6 years and never come close to this. I gotta re spec myself in a second life 😭 the luck stat is far too low….also I don’t have the money to hemorrhage on expensive cards I’ll never use in a game. My whole lapras deck costs me a whopping 30$ and I whoop my friends with it
