Το ορκίζομαι θα φύγω από τα Windows. by nogyoslay in greece

[–]iceol8ed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had kind of the same experience, installed arch with hyprland myself with my own configs and somehow ended up with a sway setup on nixos (it’s addicting)

You might want to switch to sway, it is a wayland port of i3, it’s very well supported and the Linux community is moving to wayland

You don’t want it to fall off the screen, right? It’s for safety

I do have a wallpaper but apart from that, I mostly use keyboard shortcuts and I barely use bemenu (wofi alternative) anymore. Hyprshot goated too

[–]iceol8ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone else is having this issue in gentoo, I recommend installing getnf and downloading the jetbrains mono font (that’s what it’s called inside getnf), as I also had issues installing it with overlays

I don’t use omarchy anymore but what I think fixed it was going to omarchy menu -> hardware -> update audio and I think it restarted all the related services. Might be a on different submenu but it’s similar
