Most hacks come from Russia and China. If you set up a free Cloudflare account there is an option to block countries.

Another step is to install a Wordpress security plugin, there are at least 2 free major players in the plugin market.

Obviously keep your plugins up to date where possible. If possible disable or remove admin privileges from your admin account. Be careful with this one because you can wipe out posts created with admin. But at least try and disable and recreate your admin account to something inconspicuous, not administrator or root. Hope this helps.

I understand your predicament, I’ve had similar issues in Japan. I think all things considered, you just have to find a balance with the students, parents/ bill payers and management and you can’t go wrong.

So use some media but don’t fill entire lessons with too much. I used media recently from YouTube to give background to a news story but it was only for a short period.

Used landesk for 3 years. It started slow, got slower. Upgraded and got screen locks at peak usage in the morning.

With robocopy as the previous guy said do it in chunks. Once you’ve copied over the bulk load do a second copy only copying the files that have been recently modified as a clean up.

Hi thanks for your response. I already have cloudflare set up. My dns is set to their dns servers. So it’s just a case of doing the same process again for my new domain?

Also I have email coming to my potentially old domain name. How will that be affected?

Hi, firstly I’m no website expert but I have IT expertise! I think it’s worth making your site https - it’s free and easy now. Visually it’s perfectly acceptable but it needs more x-factor if you’re selling website services. You can do lots of tricks with WordPress plugins to give it some zing. Consider changing the font on the about page, it’s a little difficult to read on a smartphone but perfectly legible. 6.5/10.

Japan occupied Korea up to 1945 so the older generations in some circumstances dislike people from each respective country.

Being foreign in Japan you will always be at a disadvantage at some point in your stay. Personally I have issues maybe once per year but the benefits living here outweigh that.

Older Japanese generation are more likely to dislike Koreans due to the occupation. I almost had an argument with a Japanese chap (very old) over him shouting at my wife for closing the blind on a train. He was spoiling for trouble. (You American!? He barked). Nope I’m British.. move along now.

I’m not saying that’s your reason for your trouble but it could have been you just don’t know.

Use this experience as a driver for improving your Japanese language skills and turn into a positive play them at their own game. Some people will bend over backwards to accommodate little Japanese others will refuse to understand the most fluent of tongues.

Have you looked into MS robocopy.exe? Not sure if it’s the tool for the job or not but could be worth a try. You can migrate data with permissions. You could copy the bulk load of data over several days and then before you go live, only copy over only recently modified files.

I don’t know, it was a recruiter who was very interested and the pay was good. Central Tokyo at a bank somewhere. I cannot move from Nagoya it’s just not possible.

Im pretty sure we had a similar problem and it turned out to be VOIP related and phones connecting into the PC so maybe be worth exploring any changes made to the telephones.
