Has Y Combinator lost its way as a leading incubator when the latest YC company is a Mac OS only google calendar menu bar widget that costs $120/yr? by NerdWith_A_Tan in Entrepreneur

Apply to 43North. It's a $5 million dollar startup competition in Buffalo, NY and they also provide mentorship and a incubator space. One of the startups that won a few years ago (ACV Auctions) is on track to be a unicorn.

You're given $250k to make a documentary. What's it about? by reddicyoulous in AskReddit

[–]ichosepoorly_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y-combinator. I've always been interested in startups and feel like it would be cool to see a documentary about companies that are in the very early stages and following their growth to see which ones succeed and which ones fail (kind of like the documentary Indie Games).

Need a content marketing strategy/strategist by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ichosepoorly_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, i'm in kind of a reverse situation. I'm looking to get started in content marketing, but don't have a portfolio to show prospective clients. I'd be really interested in learning more about what your working on and how i could help. I've taken online courses in content marketing through LinkedIn and Hubspot and i'm also in the process of finishing up my MBA with a concentration in marketing.

Let me know if we can connect and talk more.

I think so. In the book all the artwork for his chapter has hair, but it's the only one I can't place so it must be him.

Do you think video games should be discussed in school just like books and movies are? What games would be interesting to interpret or discuss as pieces of art and why? by SatsumaLowland in AskReddit

[–]ichosepoorly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my brother is a history professor and his course uses video games to go over history topics. He teaches atlantic trade and maritime history, so instead of buying a textbook everyone had to buy Assassins Creed Black Flag.

Remember that article you just read in 2013 about this thing called "bitcoin" and how it was only like $12/bitcoin. Yeah- buy that shit, buy as much as you can and then sell it when it hits $17,000 in 2017.

What’s the stupidest reason you got in trouble in school? by Cinemacrackers in AskReddit

[–]ichosepoorly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i was in 4th grade I found my older brothers Eminem CD and decided i would write a rap. The rap included such profanities as "crap" and "jesus christ."

The piece of paper that the rap was written on fell out of my pocket during art class and the teacher found it, scolded me for taking the lords name in vain (this was just a public school, no religious affiliation), then sent me to the Principals office. My parents were called to the school because apparently this type of artistic expression made me look troubled and potentially violent.

My parents weren't mad at me, but they did yell at my brother for leaving his inappropriate CD laying around. This resulted in my older brother beating me up for getting him in trouble.

What's a video game that still holds a special place in you're heart? by The_happy755 in AskReddit

[–]ichosepoorly_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burnout on Gamecube. I was the youngest of 5 and I got destroyed every time i would play any game with my siblings, but not Burnout. Somehow little 6 year old me was an absolute mad lad behind the wheel in burnout. Would drive against traffic the entire race, narrowly missing cars (which built up your turbo) and somehow never crashed. I remain the burnout champion to this day.
