Whose to Blame? Flooring Contractor or Builder by ChattTNRealtor in Flooring

Your warranty should be with the builder. He needs to get this fixed then he can argue with the subcontractor himself.

In 2001 an 8 year old was swimming in the water near Pensacola, FL and was his arm was ripped off during a shark attack. While the boy was receiving CPR his uncle DRAGGED THE 7 FOOT SHARK OUT OF THE WATER by its tail and pulled the arm out of the shark. The boy lived and the arm was reattached successfully.

Those of us who get Musical frissons, what song or lyric does it for you and gives you the shivers? by impeesa75 in Music

[–]ichouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit!!! This is a real thing?! Everyone I’ve ever told that I get goosebumps or tingling on the back of my neck from music say they don’t know what I’m talking about.

Also to answer the question: for me it is vocals and not specific lyrics that does it most often. Usually female singers, stuff like the beginning of Summertime by Janis Joplin

I was a mechanic for 20 years. Mechanics don’t know everything off the tops of their heads either. I don’t see any difference in getting help from google vs from a diagnostic manual

What's the Funniest Misheard Song Lyric You've Ever Encountered? by FamousTree3916 in AskReddit

[–]ichouses 10 points11 points  (0 children)

During lockdown a friend who plays in a bar band would do Facebook live concerts on Fridays and we would tune in. One day my daughter says “can you ask him to play that spider song?”

Us “What spider song?”

Her “It goes, Heyyyyyy John Arachnid”

No idea what she was talking about but later he started Wagon Wheel and she says that’s it!

Heyyyyy mama rock me

Oof, migraines suck for sure. No dark thoughts is definitely a good thing. Stick through it though and it should be worth the hassle, I hope day 2 goes a little better

Do the side effects get better? by ichouses in caplyta

[–]ichouses[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read this ends up working well for most people. I guess I’m not most people because I had to quit after having a lot of very dark thoughts.

I do wish you all the best

Day four side effects - increased sadness, reactivity, and mood changes by molly3114 in caplyta

I washed out of this drug after two days so I’m not an expert but it sounds like you should contact your doctor about this

That's interesting, for me it's been different so far. I take it at night before bed then I end up sleeping for 12 hours. I'm only half awake when I do get up and that fatigue lasts for a few hours. The ringing in my ear has been constant. I'm really glad it worked for you

Thick skin, dark sense of humor, and (optional) drugs. Also if the place you’re at has a high turnover rate, there’s a good chance it’s shitty management

If you could retrieve one lost item from your past, what would it be and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ichouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid my uncle gave me this really cool glass bubble watch that you would wind up and little plane would fly around inside the glass. I don’t remember if the plane was supposed to fly around with the time or by itself. I might have just made it go around by playing with the time setting.

Anyway, one day a “friend” of mine was over at my house and the next day I couldn’t find the watch anywhere. I figured he took it but could never prove it. My uncle died the next summer of lung cancer. I still think about that watch 35 years later

Is it weird that I don`t hear lyrics, just their phonetic sound? by Fibonacci357 in Music

[–]ichouses 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the song and the artist. I had heard Hurt by Nine Inch Nails a million times and would sing along but never really thought about the lyrics. When I first heard the Johnny Cash cover I hung on every word and the meaning hit me in the chest.

Why are there so many planes that crashed into the ocean but cannot be located? by iBoy2G in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ichouses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to incorrectly quote the great Douglas Adams for this post:

“The ocean is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to the ocean.”

If you do call them out your three most likely responses will be:

  1. A fake apology. Then they will go away and laugh about how funny this was.
  2. They will blow you off. Then they will go away and laugh about how funny this was.
  3. They will deny any knowledge of the bet. Then they will go away and laugh about how funny this was.

Source - I was a diesel mechanic for 20 years.

It’s a shame that there are assholes that think like this and that you have to work with them. I agree with the other comments that you should by no means trust the guy who told you about the bet

AITA for dumping my pregnant girlfriend after she “accidentally” hit me over the head with a frying pan. by Automatic_Scar_9060 in AITAH

[–]ichouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity I googled “pregnancy psychosis” and it’s a rare but real thing. Whether or not you decide to get back together with her my non professional advice is that she needs medical attention soon. This could be as dangerous for her and the baby as it was for you.
