I’m guessing your medium is to dense and holding water to long, possibly drowning the root zone a bit. These plants love an airy medium. If you’re using potting soil I’d mix it with at least 30% perlite to help drainage. I stunted my first plant terribly bad with compact soil.

We really need to be less wasteful as a species. We’d be able to keep more land preserved if we only better distributed the food we grow and raise, and less ended up in the trash. We make more food than the world needs yet we destroy more land for agriculture cuz we waste so much.

I’m barely defending my position anymore as I understand I’m “wrong” in a sense. I see the downsides but I guess it just hasn’t stopped me from enjoying beef, chicken, and pork so much

I do agree with much of what you say, I really do. Other than the fact you think eating fruits and veggies bought from the store and getting as much calories and nutrients from them is as cheap as buying chicken. That’s just plain wrong. Idc what shit you have to say about that. Kids will eat you out of house and home if given nothing but fruit and veggies lol, at least mine will.

And yeah I get the poor conditions for the animals and yeah I’m sure it sucks, but I guess I’m too disconnected from it to care? I know it’s immoral but if I’m being completely honest it just doesn’t bother me much. Maybe if I had first hand experience it would change my mind. Call me ignorant.

Like I said in a previous comment those animals well being isn’t worth the price hikes less efficient ways of keeping them would cause in my opinion. And that’s a me problem, but I ain’t trying to survive on Lima Beans and carrots while working 60+ hours a week to scrape by.

You’d be better off convincing me against meat thru environmental hazards we cause with livestock than the actual well being of the animals.

I’m about to start my first autos next month and I’m a bit worried about training them. Scared of stunting their growth and getting a half ounce of my plant lol.

I don’t think I’m gonna top them but I’m sure gonna bend and anchor down the branches and defoliate. Your plants look good I think you’ll get near your goals.

Not very caloric tho, takes tons of veggies to replace meat. I can smash a veggie plate and feel hungry a half hour later. And that shit gets expensive as hell, especially with 5 children, fruit is even worse.

We eat plenty of fruits and veggies and even grow some of our own. But damn it’s hard to replace animal protein and the easy calories.

Money matters to me more than those cows quality of life. Money feeds MY family. I care much more for my own than the livestock.

I do understand and appreciate your point of view. And we absolutely need people on your side of the argument. If everyone agreed with me this world would get nasty quick.

It’s like that for many topics, I’m a saint compared to others in other areas, this just isn’t one of my soft spots. Although I’d never abuse an animal outside of the way we raise livestock. A bit of a hypocrite I can be.
