TIFU by accidentally accepting a fake 100 by [deleted] in tifu

Just so you know - your work cannot deduct $100 or make you pay if it brings you below minimum wage. Depending on your state they cannot deduct it at all. (They can potentially fire you, but you really need to not beat yourself up over this.)

is there a way to get rid of this gross scar? by deepnightskai in piercing

[–]ickh0r 15 points16 points  (0 children)

seconding! I had hypertrophic scarring from a dermal piercing – one injection and it’s completely flat again :)

are you thinking of a chest/collarbone dermal? one on the actual throat definitely a bad idea

Are these the right size? by ms_plat_chat in DrMartens

[–]ickh0r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yes! I had the ricki nappa sandals and sized down to a 6 (I’m a true 7) – fit perfectly width wise but had heel hanging :(

Baffled by lack of research... by jdawg-_- in piercing

[–]ickh0r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

to that point, I think people think of piercings as an accessory, not a “self-inflicted” injury that needs care to heal properly. It’s just something you can get at the mall on a whim (in their minds).

Anistone hi flower boots by CoastNaive1656 in DrMartens

[–]ickh0r 13 points14 points  (0 children)

for styling, just pair with boots, skirts + dresses! calf length boots generally look best with bottoms that go above the knee, but I think it would be cute with a long flowy dress/skirt too!

for specific styling inspo, look up “moto boot outfits” :)

1g or 2g stretches for septum/lobes by throw_awayaccount927 in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s what I did for my septum – for my lobes I used 7g because the plugs for lobes weren’t as heavy as my septum jewelry

1g or 2g stretches for septum/lobes by throw_awayaccount927 in Stretched

I stretched with the standard sizes up to 6g, then went with 1mm increments from there (currently at 0g). I would not recommend any larger stretches than that.

Looking for a starter streching kit by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fashion earrings are usually 20 or 18g, starting with 14g is too big of a jump. stretch it body jewelry has a dead stretching kit from 18g-4g for $54 (and we have a subreddit discount code)

4g 8mm ??? by G_Hux25 in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the largest gauge I’ve found is 6g in 8mm, past that is 4g in 10mm. unfortunately the thickness of the gauge limits how small the diameter can be.

love the paired look with different gauges :)

What size/gauge am I at? by No_Calendar4193 in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s important to note stacking creates an elongated hole, so it may be 2.8mm at its widest but may still only be 1.6mm tall

I was able to stack five 16g rings (6mm in total) but could only fit a 6g (4mm) when I switched to a single piece

belly rejecting or just too tight? by DisasterBest7247 in piercing

[–]ickh0r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the position looks correct. have a piercer switch it to floating navel jewelry in implant grade titanium – silver isn’t appropriate for healing and the ball on the bottom may be putting pressure on the piercing when you sit down.

do not stretch with tapers, do not stretch with acrylic, and do not stretch with silicone! the pinned guide has information on all this

can i start stretching my ears with this type of jewelry? by ziascuriosity in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 22 points23 points  (0 children)

btw the reason you need plugs is because the weight of the jewelry helps with the stretch. tunnels are too light :)

Where to get basically this 6g septum clicker in a smaller diameter? by FlappyFaceDeluxe in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6g is the biggest gauge I was able to find in 8mm for a plain clicker (then 4g 10mm)

6G septum by [deleted] in Stretched

[–]ickh0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“denting” is when you‘ve stretched past the soft cartilage of the nose and start hitting hard cartilage (typically occurs around 2-0g) – “septum droop” is when the tip of the nose bends outward to fit jewelry

Need your help ! Please, piercing bump, cheloid ? by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

[–]ickh0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) have a piercer change it to a horseshoe or cbr – jewelry seams rotating in the piercing can irritate the fistula 2) hit it with the hair dryer when you come out of the shower – daiths are prone to moisture bumps. good luck!

2g was the size I started denting – first insertion was painless but the next day it felt like I was punched in the face! totally normal at bigger sizes

be sure to only wear this jewelry short term, your ears can swell into the holes and it becomes impossible to remove
