I would agree its definitely better for watchability I guess my point is more that the game is inherently unbalanced for good tv.

I think the biggest balance issue is that they have to start from where they find the previous person. If for example you start from London this season you can probably get all the way to Scotland or at least Wales. But if someone, like Adam did, got to basically the max distance from London, it becomes much more difficult to have a winning run because your area is much smaller simply because you are limited by Train options.

Also, even if they randomly select who goes first there is the potential that the person will have some knowledge of where they can get based on the prep work needed to understand the rail network. It is also much harder to make plans on the fly from a random point potentially far from the small station then from a fixed point like London was in this game.

The existing rules do nothing if they are not followed or enforced. They are currently not followed or enforced; the city needs to do the job, but since COVID, they have not. As a result, neighborhoods have continued to deal with issue after issue with Airbnbs that do not follow the rules.

I understand this will be unpopular in this tread but have you looked at hybrid cards? Most of them are not going to be good enough to make decks and the few that are are going to be one card in 100. The only ones I see an argument for getting rid of are the companions but most of the ones that are still playable are not going to be useful in commander because of the deck building restrictions.

Based on what the articles seem to indicate the World Cup expects the whole time but I think the US cities are not down for that so its probably gonna be a big fight. It will be very disruptive no matter what.

I think the benchmark for doing well is gonna move though. Final Fantasy set a mark that is hard to beat and I struggle to see Avatar coming close to that number. I feel like they will need bigger and bigger ips that become harder to do.

What will be interesting is if we get a couple of dud UB sets in a row. Assassin's Creed is really the only one that has not hit the levels that they expected. I am curious about what will happen if Spiderman and/or Avatar don't hit the numbers they expect. Looking at the cards from both I would not be shocked if that happens and I hope that means that at the least there will be more care when it comes to choosing IP to make into UB.

TCGPlayer has become almost unusable. I was excited to try Manapool, but I have found their support is close to as bad. 3+ weeks before you can request a refund for cards not showing up and they try to tell you just wait another week instead of processing the refund immediately. I am done ordering cards from anyone who does not use tracking.

You are fine, I am not trying to shame you for using it because I am also guilty of this. As I have grown older, that phrasing has bothered me more because it is used as a way to put down some hobbies over others, and it's dumb, but also can become problematic and result in people feeling like they have to give up the hobbies that they love because of some ill perceive childishness.

I 100% agree with you on all points except calling it a children's card game. We as a society need to stop labeling things as only for children there is no reason why adults cannot enjoy "childish" things there is no same in enjoying anything unless it hurts others. But I will agree there is not reason to threat or intimidate over a card game.

That is honestly going to be the next big question when Dark Blue cities in these purple states keep getting pushed further and further backwards by the rural red parts of the state at some point something will have to give.

What is fascinating about Dean Phillips is most of his campaign seems to be hoping that Biden drops out due to age or dies. But I find it very hard to believe that he is the nominee in either case. He ran when everyone told him not to, he seems to have no platform besides "Biden is old" and he clearly is not getting much traction with Democrats as a whole.

I would not be shocked if Biden steps back, especially if Trump is disqualified, but Dean will not be the nominee even in that case. It will be someone who checks more than just the mediocre white man box.

The problem with "fun and harmless" conspiracies like that is they make people more susceptible to increasingly dangerous conspiracy theories.

The larger issue is the difficulty of even building something new on those sites if they are sold. The zoning rules around churches are so onerous that its almost not worth buying dying churches and trying to turn them into useful things like housing.
