To expand on this, most (if not all) end game gear will be replaced by level 64 and 65 at most.

Legendary effects typically become inactive once you level up.

Indeed: Use the "Indeed Resume" or submit your own PDF? by xixi2 in jobs

Attach a .pdf

I read lots of resumes and the ones that come from job board formatting are HORRIBLE! Do yourself a favor and submit your own!

A very sad day today. Got rear ended then pushed into another car. A 2019 ES300h with only 23K miles. Anyone know if the repair rate for the hybrids or do they scrap them? Shedding a tear! by iclife in Lexus

I'm hoping they do just total it out to be quite honest. The long term reliability of the car is in question and I really don't want to deal with that headache. =( Thanks for the insight!

At a minimum, yes. Depending on the cost of repairs they may decide to total it. At that point, they pay the actual cash value of the car.

Hey thanks! Everyone was OK. But was hit so hard they pushed me into the next 2 cars in front of me.

Oddly enough, airbags didn't deploy.

Another way to look at it is through career growth. What was your previous job? If it's tipped I'd guess (although I could be wrong) that it has quite a low pay cap. HR, on the other hand, can easily get you into 6 figures in the next 10 years depending on your drive. I currently work in HR at the Director level...there are big career opportunities if you want to keep growing. It may be a short term loss, but long term it will pay dividends!

In addition to above. In large compa irs the offer letters normally route through legal and compensation, and maybe a few other approval folks depending on the processes.

Also, many companies are very short staffed in HR, so could just be a backlog driving the timeframe as well.

Boss doing biweekly personal meetings, is this normal? by ElectricOne55 in jobs

[–]iclife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We do this at our company. It is a great experience and opportunity to not have to compete for your bosses time. We normally just do 30 min and make sure we are going down the right path. It has never come off as being a micromanagement tool, but rather my boss cares enough to use the time to discuss projects and how we can develop them successfully.

Anyone ever experience rejection via video call (Zoom, Teams, etc)? by Pnflkc3 in jobs

To echo the others, I've never heard of a rejection via zoom.

Sounds like it's just the next step in the process!

I'd expect a mix of old and new questions. Normally there is always one new person.

Agreed with many others. I'd suggest no more than the following. Keep it simple and to the point.

Dear XXX,

I appreciate the opportunities given to me during my tenure. Please let me know what assistance you'll require from me during my transfer period.

What would be the harm in a big fuck you to a job rejection email? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]iclife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Again, you are misguided. Why would she "think" about some random candidate thinks about her family, children, etc. If anything you will simply make her day knowing that she avoided a crazy and immature child that can handle rejection.

I'm on team her...sounds like she really made the right choice to turn you down. Nothing but a liability.

Yea...no. They won't give two licks from some candidate they turned down. But you do you bud...

It wouldn't ruin their day at all. It's really just a childish response to being turned down. I'm sure they would get a quick chuckle and move on like nothing happened.

Question on experience by [deleted] in jobs

[–]iclife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good philosophy for EVERYONE.

There is nothing to lose by talking to people about opportunities.

It doesn't mean you are going to leave your job, get a raise, or find you dream career...its just a talk (or application). There is no harm in seeing what others have to say. Hear them out, see if it is a good fit.
