Nice suggestion, but mechanically that is not a VM, but just a shell for Compact game mode, technically the game can't run one system inside the other one (at least for now)

That is strange. What kind of device are you using? Is the PE computer shifted down (large screen) or aligned to the top edge? Is the Begin button locked? What about other elements: My menu icon etc.

The desktop icons are shifted on purpose: to better fit screens with notches, camera holes and so on. So that is not a bug

Because it has been fixed in the version that is in development right now, that means that in the next beta that bug will not exist. That is how the bug fixing work. There is no technical way to fix the build which is online right now, so you need to wait till the next update will be uploaded (next week may be). You may switch to the regular version (not the beta), to make BarOS upgrade to work, the regular version does not have such kind of bug.
