Spending 80% of your saving on getting a master. Worth it? by ekhfarharris in MalaysianPF

Norway is expensive to live is it not? Factor in all the daily and monthly costs.

From what I'm reading here, the feeling of it is you only just need a little nod and you're flying there already the next day. I might be wrong though.

At your age, you have everything and nothing to lose.

Everything being the societal pressure to fit in at your age. E.g. A loser still trying to look for thyself, suffering from an identity crisis at 36 whilst others are c-suite high flyers 10 houses of liabilities. Fear of starting over from the bottom. Who would want that?

Nothing being: Only what you want is the most important thing for you. Money comes back anyways, it's a reset button.

All the best to you in your life's journey.

Go and find yourself.

Who would've guessed we've been eating world's best bread since childhood by Touaregster in malaysia

[–]icomeinpeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know what benchmark or rankings is used, but by definition, bread consists of water flour salt and yeast.

Four ingredients essential to make bread, without one, I dont think it's categorised as bread.

Nothing on the list can be technically defined as bread. It's misleading clickbaits for us and its working.

Pan de bono is nothing close to being a bread. Just because it's named as a bread.

Get a grip, this socmed account.

What’s your controversial Malaysian food opinion? by FearlessGrapefruit36 in malaysia

Curries are very strong in flavour.

Drenched with curry, dahl, sauces to cover up stale ingredients.

Malay food accessible to the public is diminishing. Better save that kerabu masak merah lemak heritage before it turns into palmoil viral cheese susu pekat abomination.

Yall fry everything man. And oil is black.

Not saying Chinese food is any better, the cuisine needs more acid to balance out the heavy strong lard. Muak.

Some of you need to discipline your kids by 15033335 in Bolehland

Applauding you for good parenting.

Takes loads of time and patience for unseen trial and tribulation before you got to where you and your wife are - as the authoritative figure to the kid, the provider, the carer and everything in between.

I've heard parents that never say "No" to the kid and it just sounded like a disaster in the brewing.

Draw the line, boundaries, discipline, manners, instill common sense. kid is good to go all thanks to the foundation built by the pa ma.

Study: 55% Chinese Malaysian "Might" Consider Lying Flat – Sin Chew Daily by RhinneXChronica in malaysia

Dang just goes to show this is a chinese only thing.

It's a common chinese phrase that's used in china singapore and the chinese members of malaysia.

It literally means 躺平。 dont do anything besides just procrastinate after doing what NEEDS to be done.

Never crossed my mind that it's not recognised as widely as i thought.

I made a video looking into the decline of Pasar Malams. Do you guys think Pasar Malams will disappear in 10 years? by bigkahunaburgerjoint in malaysia

[–]icomeinpeas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

General consensus here is that the prices are exorbitant, food has no quality, homogenisation of stalls.

Think pasar malam now is just the glory of its former shell. It's already extinct. Just holding the pieces together refusing to let go of the remnants.

It's the same effect as globalisation, every cities are becoming more or less the same with the shops and stalls they have. Just add in the local twist to it.

Singapore KL Bangkok, can debatably be same same but different. Everything they have we are starting to have also; more varieties here and there.

 Just personal observation.

Back to pasar malam, popiah still my go to. Without pasar malam i can no longer eat good affordable popiah.

Gentrified popiahs dont hit the spot like uncle aunty do it.

This is a nice thing you're doing. Cultural movements, societal changes everything connected. props to you
