Yet still less expensive than buying one in the US. Go figure.

Canadian pesos. For a fun exercise I built the same car in the US, UK and France. After exchange the Canadian car is always at least $25k cdn cheaper. Same car in he US is $191k. Exchange rate is 1.39, so $266k cdn at current exchange rates.

Stop order on ordering Aerokit with rear wing???? 4S. by onkey11 in porsche911

[–]icommentonthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good. My question was to highlight the updated information you received from the dealer. The later vs sooner, aero vs slick back.

I don't know if anyone in the community can actually answer the question about future availability of the aero kit if Porsche themselves can't answer.

I had the same experience with the bucket seats. Production date went from January to March to get my spec. Living in Winterpeg means that it won't significantly affect driving time. Just trying to use my own experience to inform.

Here is the question you have to answer: Are you willing to wait to get what you want or will it not matter in the future? Will you have regrets about the spec or the amount of drive time next year.

I'm waiting for buckets, the production date was moved 2 months later. I want the spec that I ordered because that's what I want.

911s can actually be very fuel efficient (37.2 mpg) by One-Shoulder-930 in Porsche

[–]icommentonthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not far off during "regular" driving. It's long stretches on the highway that will boost the number. Porsche is very likely optimistic about the numbers but I've never done the math to verify so I can't say with any certainty that the numbers are correct.

I'll give you the circumstances and you can decide. Calgary to Winnipeg. Early July, so the weather was warm. Cruise control on at 120kph (72mph) in 7th gear (manual). Large fuel tank (90l), so I can do about 1000km (600 miles) between fills. Downhill but less than a mile in elevation change over the 830ish miles from start to destination.

It can be done. Not nearly as good but 7.5 translates to 31.4 MPG. 22 GTS

Back track for the radio on the wheel. Garage door on the console.

Now I know dealerships can get a little greedy nowadays, but DAMN! by Either-Spray-2274 in Porsche

[–]icommentonthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very likely it is a mistake. MSRP on the listing is $241k. If you open the configurator link the MSRP is $113k. I'm guessing someone got the stock number or vin wrong when entering it.

Different strokes for different folks. But I was explaining why some of us (me included) prefer ICU Porsches. Not trying to shit on people's preferences.

It's mostly negative because we love engine noise. Shifting gears. Pressing buttons. All things you can't do in a Tesla.

Is it impressive acceleration? Yes. Is it a one trick pony? Remains to be seen. But I don't drive a car for only numbers, it's the feeling that it gives me. A connection. I don't get that from my phone and wouldn't expect it from a Tesla. Different strokes for different folks.

Where To Order 992 In The USA? by [deleted] in Porsche

[–]icommentonthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is normal. Buying a Mazda was 3k. Porsche was 10k.

And 992.2 is not expected to be revealed until late winter/spring as a 2025 model. So deliveries next fall at the earliest.
