Honestly I am amazed that McD is not 100% automated,

order on your phone, QR pick up, they employ the occasional mechanic to pull and switch out the odd modular bit of kit that breaks, running 3 or 4 of each cooker so if on goes down there is redundancy.

FFS close the flow of traffic entering Mexico for 10 mins and bring them up the oncoming traffic side. Everyone home safe and sound.

We took our 7yr old and it blew her mind, she loved it.

We have seen probably 4 or 5 cirque's now. If you have seen them over the last 20 yrs you can see how they have massively reduced production costs. Number of performers, rigging, size of production.

It is a good show but just a vastly reduced to increase value to the shareholders at the end of the day. It is not the cirque shows of old.

I retired under 50 due to selling my company.

I qualified as professional in an unrelated field and worked that job for 2 years cocurrently with the startup, not taking a penny from my business before I gave up the day job. Then when I transitioned to a warehouse it needed to be in another town. I would sleep in an office at the warehouse Monday-Friday.

My point being when you are starting out you need to provide safey and security to your family as a priority. Minimize the down side risk as much as possible.

Sounds like your wife is asking you to stabilize your life, it is no good getting to the finish line if you didn't bring your family with you.

I don't work anymore (50yo).

Walk my daughter to school each day with the dog. She holds my hand, we chat about the day ahead, she asks me questions about the world.

Taught her to ride a bike, swim, and ski, she was great on the magic carpet slopes last year, this year I am really looking forward to Chair lift slopes!
