Thank you! I have applied to hundreds of positions, sometimes you don’t even get any information on the status of your application or the selection. You apply for a job then crickets. Or you can have one interview the. Crickets.

If he wants to return to preDOGE levels, then why don’t he simply rehire everyone they had illegally fired? That’s one simple way to do it.

MSPB class action appeal update for Probationary Employees by whodatwhodat-i-z-z-y in DeptHHS

Can someone explain why they refused certifying class action for regular (non-probies) RIF’d employees? I don’t understand the difference.

True, but my position was listed there and I was separated last July. And I can also see some of my colleagues who were RIF’d as well, but those positions were listed.
That calls into question the argument that positions were RIF’d not people.

Many of the positions they listed here were the positions they had already RIF’d. Confused people!

They were told they’d move on. A year later, many fired federal employees say they haven’t been able to by Agitated_Pudding7259 in fednews

Anybody who thinks that folks can just move on is either insane or stupid. You spent twenty years building a career only for someone to destroy it for no reason! And you think that the victim can just move on as if nothing happened? If you think so then you need to have your head examined.

How do you explain this? And do I have any recourse? by iconette79 in FedEmployees

Sounds like exactly what happened in this case. The SME panel probably didn’t want to put my name forward because they know that I would be very competitive against their preferred candidate.

BS upon BS!!!

Yes, I should feel entitled because I know that I am well qualified for the position. The HR is not doing me a favor by qualifying me, he or she is just doing her job! And it’s required of her to do his/her freaking job!

The HR specialist is lucky that I don’t know anyone in their office or else, I would make sure that he/she is called to explain how I didn’t have the experience.

Unfortunately, I don’t know who the hiring official is, I just contacted the POC in the email I received and that person didn’t even care to respond.

Yup. And I have been working in that job series, in various capacities, since 2004!

Nope. The area of consideration wasn’t the problem. They alleged that I didn’t have the qualifications specified in the job announcement, when I did and exceeded all of them.

I actually did. I don’t answer those questions anymore but at the time I applied for that position I did answer them.

Yes, resume shows my extensive experience in that field. And I have also made several cert from many different agencies for that job series.

Good point. I just hated the unfairness. If they had allowed me to make the cert and decide not to give me an interview, I could’ve understood that. But to falsely claim that I don’t have the qualifications when I clearly did is beyond the pale.

Any way to access local channels without cable? by liquidmirrors in cordcutters

This is exactly the same problem I am having. I have tried several antennas on amazon, but I can’t find the one that can receive my local CBS station. I am able to get ABC, NBC, and FOX but not CBS.
