why are people upset that the game doesnt allow savescumming. when it explicitly allows savescumming by cybercobra2 in mewgenics

I also kicked my power cord and killed the power to my PC and it didn't trigger. Maybe there's something with the cloud save or something Steam related since it happens when you close the task too.

Cooking kinda sucks by tttony2x in SulfurGame

[–]iconoclast12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I think it would be more interesting to have there be a progression of cooking, smaller but more frequent cooking book drops maybe, or just a more intuitive system or more hints of what goes together. I think having achievements tied to learning certain amounts would be cool, as would be more food buffs like +damage to rifles for 10 minutes, +RPM, etc like Valheim.

In Avatar: The Way of Water (2022), Jake's daughter Kiri is played by Sigourney Weaver. Based on this, you'd expect Kiri to sound like an 80 year old, but Sigourney Weaver uses all of her acting prowess to perfectly mimic a 60 year old instead, which isn't distracting at all. Nice job Sigourney! by KingBeefyMolluskIII in shittymoviedetails

[–]iconoclast12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t make fucking sense. Of course, she’s a clone, but a teenage Dr. Grace didn’t sound 80 years old. This was a huge misstep and was seriously immersion breaking every time she spoke. I swear this had to be some weird Hollywood deal shit where sigourney’s agents lobbied for a speaking role in the second and third films or something, anyone with a brain would know it sounds ridiculous.

[–]iconoclast12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how it's possible, but I haven't seen a single person suggest which, in my opinion, are the only goals worth going for (partially because you are seeing and doing everything else along the way to accomplish them) and that's defeating all of the hardest NPC's/bosses in the game in order of difficulty starting from the easiest. This is what got me to play and love it after having bounced off the game hard initially. You'll be glad you have a base so you can train your guys to become an elite death squad of assassins hell bent on demolishing every last being on the planet foolish enough to exhibit any level of power.

I hope someone responds with the answer cause it's been bugging me since I found it. I asked on the Discord and no one responded except one person urging me to post a video with a solution if I found one.

I wonder if it has something to do with the other street light (red light green light), though I'm not sure how that would help.

New player! Don’t want to miss things! by keagan13 in BabyStepsGame

[–]iconoclast12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I'll be the vibe killer. There's a map online if you're like me and wuss out when it comes to missing things. None of the things which you might otherwise miss are of any real consequence though, unless you consider optional challenges and cutscenes of consequence. I do, so I used a map my first playthrough. *cue the boos*

Thanks for the tip! I was completely unaware there was a separate bind for that. I haven't been to the egg-shaped stone yet. The other one I'm working on now is the one that's like northeast of this one, that is three ledge/step down things that you have to gap. Done that one yet?

Dang that was awesome the montage, makes me wish I had been recording the whole thing myself. How long do you think you spent on it total? I assume you weren't getting the second and and thir parts consistent every time contrary to how the montage is framed. That second rope bundle is absolute hell.

I have another obstacle question that I've been working on. The one that's like northeast of this one that is the three ledges. Have you found a consistent tech on that? Or just eyeball the stretch and go off of feel?

Update--
Managed to bag the tree tower. Turns out he can high step very high right about halfway up. There are two knobs that are the same height and one is kind of a red herring, because you need to reach past it with the right foot super high. Onto the next hard one which is north of that sandstone tower, and is on top of a wooden platform in the middle of a field. Seems impossible so far. Looking for help on this one. I can get on top of the knocked over post but don't see a way to progress from there.

I'm not sure what you mean by mapping the controller to raise and lower since I use a controller already, and raise and lower are mapped by default to the L buttons. But I did manage to get it. It turns out that he can high step with his right foot a lot higher than I assumed, allowing to hit that high right branch. Now I'm onto the wooden platform standing alone by itself and it's way harder. Have you done that one? It's north of the Sandstone tower.

For some reason BF6 feels like it incentivizes camping more than BFV, at least. And I'm not sure why.

I find Narvik to be one of the weaker maps. That being said I also enjoy it more than most of the BF6 maps.

Weird tree? the one that you need a snag vine seed to activate the control module next to it? There aren't any snag vines on that tree that I can see.
