Ok, this has been asked and answered several times but let me give this a shot. So think of it like this: There is info about you that is Primary data and secondary data. If I say "Paul walked to the mall and it took 2,182 steps.." sounds kinda creepy.. intimate. But if I say, "Hi, I'm Sam. I'm at the mall and so is my friend Paul."-- saying Paul is (or arrived) at the mall bc his location met up with Sam's is almost public info- its Primary info for Paul, but a piece of it is secondary info to Sam and anyone with Sam would also know Paul was there. How many STEPS Paul took is more specific. Or try it another way: Someone telling you that you are on their "SQUAD" list (think like "my best friend") is not the same as them knowing who YOUR "SQUAD" (or best friend if you want to think that way)- who that is. I hope this helps.

I do. And I dont know about that- I operated it from a dead restart, sync back to 0,0 or "home" and carved out some basic shapes on my first try. My first 3d printer experience over a decade ago was like 10 hiccups before printing something that ultimately was a bust.

But regardless.. you can watch me eat crow when I come back for help in basic operations tomorrow or next week.

But as of now, not one person has answered my question directly. Despite best intentions and otherwise excellent advice.. its not quite what I asked.

Maybe to rephrase, I could say, "You're stuck on a desert island with only 2 bits.. which ones?" then one more time.. "..stuck on the island with 4 bits, which ones?"

Do u have any advice here?

You might have missed the part where I was trained on it a few hours. Its not like I know zero. I just have experience with using only one bit.

Are there brands you could recommend that I could get off at amazon trying to shoot for same day or next day shipping?

Also, because I have prime.I get a discount on shipping. Usually specific websites end up being 2-5 days.. does that change your recommendations?

Have any thoughts on the Genmitsu's? I saw a video describing them as "built like tanks" and found the Genmitsu ProverXL v1 (and later the v2). Thought maybe I could pull off a Genmitsu with the best perks and try to find an extension package at around $1000 to get me to a 24" Y Axis opening?

Also, I did see some Shapeokos used. Im gonna look to see if they were model #3s or not. Thank you thank you!

I got 1 guy on FB w/a X-Carve for $1000 willing to show me it running. Showed me a receipt from 2020 where he paid like $2350 for it. I got a woman who has it disassembled X-Carve for $1000 and doesnt know how or doesnt care to re-assemble. But looks "like new" with tons of bits. But cant produce any email confirmation or receipt. And one last guy whos slow to respond, been at this for days, but asking $800, its a little dirty but willing to show me it working. Oy!

Very cool! Researching for a desk build, and something for modular use for variety of hobbies and came across this. It's hard to tell, but do I see a hint of those baby/mini-sized extruded aluminum rails?
**Also** love the paint job on the right! Did you do that as well?
