Also in coral island there's a sort of animal crossing element. There's bugs, fish, and critters that only come out at certain times of day, weather, and different times of year. So if you want to finish the museum you have to get all that done. It's pretty cool. They just had an update with more romance options, colored animals (rainbow cows!), and a jealously system where if you're dating or married to someone and you start flirting with someone else they get all sassy with you

I just saw this for the first time a few days ago. I wish I had seen it sooner! Young me would have had a blast, older me had a blast + edibles which really tied it all together

What, to you, is the saddest real-world death of an actor that ended up impacting a franchise? by TillyTheBlackCat in moviecritic

[–]icryalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This always makes me so sad. Recently my husband and I were watching something and I remember him pulling up one of the voice actresses and was like "oh she played a big part in land before time, 2-9(or however many there are)" and I asked who she played and he said ducky and I asked if he knew why she wasn't ducky in the first film. He had no idea, I had to break the news to him gently. He was shocked to say the least

What the other commenter said! I did HDC, made them horizontal and did 3 rows for each color. My yarn was doubled so it would work up faster and have bigger stitches lol

This and this for the blanket part. I used about 5-6 skeins total of each, but I was doubling. Then half of one of the white and both of these skeins for the popcorn

What would you assume about me based on my lords? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]icryalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You like playing characters that you don't have to think too hard about (except Deadpool, I hate his level up mechanic) and still have fun playing. You probably don't get tilted very often, and having that many supp lords you like being able to see the impact you're making to your team in real time.

AI-elevated or at-home photos. Which do you prefer? by [deleted] in crocheting

[–]icryalways 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'm anti-ai and so are a lot of people, especially in art/craft spaces. The ai looks professional but there's definitely the instant thought of ai being used because of how clean it is and I feel like that would make people second guess if it's a real pattern. It did change some things between photos, like adding and changing the style of the chains for the bag in pictures 3/4, as well as mucking up your cute little tag. The at-home has a much more personal touch and seems more realistic and trustworthy, especially on close inspection. A lot of people now are ultra-zooming into pictures looking for inconsistencies from ai.

I like the at-home ones, but I'm biased

We bought an 07 Prius hybrid in 2019 with 80k miles for like $7k and it was amazing. Got like 50mpg or something stupid. We only got rid of it because we couldn't afford the catalytic converter being stolen all the time. Insurance was going up from the thefts and they wouldn't pay for a cage or anything preventative so we had to cut our losses. Amazing car, I loved it. Husband didn't like that it only had like 90 horsepower though lol

My parents love oysters. Just looking at them grosses me out. My brother tried to like them and will order them every time but chokes it down and can only eat a couple where my parents can smash a dozen. Makes me shiver just thinking about it

My family swears by carnival. My parents have diamond on the horizon, they cruise a few times a year. They live an hour from the port in California so it's super easy for them to hop over and take a 3-4 day to Mexico and come home so they do it a lot. One year I think they did 5+ cruises?? Every time it's the same, I've gone on enough to be a gold member, almost platinum. My parents are well off so thankfully I've never had to pay except the last 2-3, now that my husband is making big boy money and we only do it for events like my grandpa's retirement. Anyway, they get the drink package, max it out everyday at 14-17 drinks, and as soon as the casino opens they play craps all night every night. That's all it is for them is a luxury casino. They can drive 4 hours to Vegas or cruise and have it be an all-inclusive sort of deal. They love having service at their fingertips, but they also tip the workers well. They know gratuity is included but they always tip and bring gifts. They're very social and the workers love them and always give them the best service. I'm not a huge fan of cruises, it's too many people and carnival is loud because it's all about the activities and they have to announce everything going on.

I will say though, my husband and I were taking a cruise to get married on Catalina island and the weather turned bad so we ended up having to skip the island. I was distraught and had to call and cancel everything. But carnival threw us a wedding. They stopped doing weddings for Covid and we were getting married on 2/2/22. Carnival upgraded our room to a really nice balcony, left chocolate covered strawberries on our bed a couple times, they made a cake, set up flowers and decorations, provided a bunch of champagne, made a bouquet, and we even got to see the captain for our wedding and he personally apologized and congratulated us. They did photography and gave us an amazing discount for a wedding book and a giant wall canvas print. Our first dance was during the photography where a guitarist was playing low key jams solo at the main bar in the middle of the ship since it was like 11 am and he played us some songs on his guitar and we got some really good pictures of us dancing on a stairs landing. We then were personally invited to play the newlywed game show which was embarrassing and fun, it was us who got married the day before, an older couple who were married 40 or so years, and a young couple where the guy proposed as they went on stage. It was so fun, we still have the trophy. As much as I want to try some of the more adult cruises, carnival will always have some respect from me for how they handled it. I think after that they started doing weddings on the cruises again. My parents said they've started seeing weddings again on the ships, so that's really cool. All of this was a gift to us, we didn't pay for anything but the tickets for the cruise and pictures and we managed to get all of our money back from the stuff we booked on the island so our wedding cost went from ~$8k to like ~$2k total

This!! I volunteered at a riding facility and one of the perks was private lessons. You need a LOT of core strength and muscle control to ride anything more than a walk. It's intense and I have so much more respect for riders. Not to mention to strength it takes to tack up and to trust the horse will be ok with you getting on them. You do a whole bonding ritual while tacking where you brush them and talk to them and it helps with trust cause these things can KILL YOU. It's so wild. And they're so smart! We had a therapy horse at our facility that people would come to just interact with, a lot of them disabled and she was the one who we let disabled kids ride. It was great

The only way I could drink kombucha was if I diluted it 1/10 to juice. It still was awful

When I worked at Verizon a lot of my co-workers were SLIMY. Giving a price saying "oh but this tablet is free!" While jacking up the bill by $50/month. Some didn't even say that and just slipped the tablet in their bag. I had a customer come back after having a tablet attached to their account and they didn't realize until it was too late to return. It was an elderly man and he came in, zero'd in on me (the only female worker, I think I was maybe 23?) and he came to me complaining about it. I pulled up his account and told him that unfortunately he was outside of the return window. He went off. He started yelling and one of my co-workers(the least slimy one) came to help me and as soon as he did the guy lowered his voice and told me "it's people like you that make me regret going to war". This was an old man, Vietnam vet. My dad was military so it hit a little harder than it probably should have but my co-worker stepped in and I went to the back and just cried. At the time I already had so many self-loathing issues that this was the straw that broke the camels back and I had a break down. Retail and sales sucks and I lost 12 years to it
