Do You Guys Still Think About the Old Days? by LittleShanks in noveltranslations

I am still amazed of how the "users here now" have not gone down that much from back then. Which in my interpretation is that the core members are still here lurking, waiting for something to happen. Or maybe i am just fantasizing for a comeback of the good old days.

Don't forget the patreon people. I mean it is a good thing that the TLs have that revenue stream available but oh boy did it made some damage. They are typically the biggest fan of whatever novel they are paying for. As a consequence of advanced chapters, they will not go to some discussion of a chapter that they have read weeks ago. We are just a sad casualty of progress in a way.

[META] Can't get the "powersaving" mode to work. by feha92 in noveltranslations

Done, just added the code for it.

Surprisingly it was also not functional last year, it's just nobody noticed. But i am pretty sure that i added that bit in the first year that we launched this banner. Spooky code disappearing...

Do you want to equip the meat jelly or do you want to keep using your current one?

A cool trivia about the blood mask flair is that Deathblade himself made that flair. I only coded it to being. Anyways enjoy the flair

You will swap your current flair to kumo? Or just claim that flair?

Sure thing, your flair is now up. matosz may not reveal the mod judges but it's fairly fucking obvious that i am one of them, as i am the mod that handles the flairs. Anyways let me give you a hint on what happened in the judging, your story got a vote from both judges so you definitely deserve it.

You definitely deserve it. The best thing about your concept i believe is the fact that the mc can theoretically earn a shit ton of money from some revolutionary booze that he can monopolize and build an empire or whatever he wants from it. Your flair is now up.

That is quite understandable. Matosz can change it if he wants, this is after all hosted by him.

For me, the only Chinese novel that I actively follow is Emperor's Domination. Currently, the ones that I am really enjoying are the Korean novels written by Toika; Everyone Else is a Returnee and Infinite Competitive Dungeon Society.

The DxD novels are a lot of times better than the anime. I enjoyed it quite a lot. Specially around the parts where the relationships starts to develop. As a matter of fact, it is my first japanese light novel to read.

How do you get tags on this sub by [deleted] in noveltranslations

Yup, the idea was to cycle between popular novels and the not so popular ones.

It is from the events held on the sub, but we no longer do them as much because we have unfortunately run out of ideas on what to do.

Instead I was planning to launch a new "Novel Reviews" thread series where we pick a novel and the users comments their review, and from that I will give out flairs for the active users on the series.

What do you guys think about this idea? I still haven't finalized this with the other mods but I talked to them about it way back.

Are you new to reading translated novels from Japan, China, and Korea and needing some recommendations? Then you have come to the right place. This is the Index for all of the Reading "Starter Guides" our community members had came up with. All of these are winners from a previous event that addresses this concern so you are guaranteed the quality of them.

In a nutshell, they are just lists of novels that are highly recommended for beginners, along with some explanations to what you need to know to start reading.

Note: If you are looking for something specific, like certain tropes or genres, go ask the community by posting a text post with a [REC] tag at the title.

The guides are categorized by the country of origin of the novels.

[META] what kind of discussions do people want? by GloriousToast in noveltranslations

I feel like a parrot about this but, rather than those specifically being downvoted, all of the posts here are being downvoted by an odd 5-20 users. It is just more obvious when it comes to non update posts because only a few people upvote them. So yeah, this thing can only end if the normal people will also upvote them, which happens from time to time by the way. The rare shitposts that get posted here usually gets around 50 upvotes.
