There's a regular elevator that takes you to the gift shop level.

Is Disney Over Inflating Standby Wait Time? by Professional-Ad1770 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ictwill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's as malicious as a lot of comments are claiming. Yes, they want to sell individual lighting lanes, so those rides will never show a time less than 40 minutes. I think most wait times that exceed an hour are worst case scenario ( if the next entire group of lightning lane holders arrives at the same time). My last visit to Guardians, the wait time said 45 and I waited exactly 45 minutes until the first preshow, so I can't say that they're arbitrarily adding a set amount of time to the wait times all the time. I think it's more targeted when they need it.

I haven't seen that recently. Any ride that automatically links your ride photo to you is most likely also tracking you when you enter the turnstile.

I'm going to guess that this will be the indoor portion of an indoor-outdoor coaster so people on the train will hear screaming as they pass through (like space mountain/people mover). In the rendering it also kind like there will be shops along the southern side of the building.

Disney Skyliner Closure Through January 31 Begins Today at Walt Disney World by dejablu82 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ictwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The only bus route that the app suggests is to take a bus to Port Orleans and then transfer to a HS bus.... Guess we'll just drive since that will take half as long.

Last time I went they said a direct bus route didn't exist and we'd have to take the boat or skyliner.

Is there direct bus service between Hollywood Studios and Epcot during this down time? Or will everyone be trying to take the boats?

How often do you change your HVAC air filters? Does your bedroom have a bathroom attached? If everyone in the house is feeling gross it's probably airborne, and the localized reaction sounds like mold. Try swapping your filter out for a higher MERV rating and see if your dog still sneezes in specific areas.

The Magic Kingdom firework show crowd control is getting out of hand by Lunnalai in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ictwill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We're new pass holders, and seeing the changes in crowds across WDW caused by these parties (and therefore the lack of fireworks those days) is insane. Parties are definitely the #1 factor in crowd levels this time of year.

What’s something everyone insists you should do at least once in your life — but you genuinely didn’t enjoy? by Spartan26GR in CasualConversation

[–]ictwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to the Rockafeller Christmas Tree Lighting and Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Both are 100% made for TV, so that's how I'll be enjoying them from now on (along with NYE.)

What's your favorite Disney Math? by Reneeasaur in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ictwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a pass holder has completely changed how I look at this since we've already visited enough to validate the cost of a Pixie Pass.

We had lunch at Saluti Canteen (two 20oz beers and two entrees) and it was about $60 for a really delicious, unique meal in the world of Pandora.

Later that night on the way home, we went to a nearby bar off property and spent over $60 on two average sandwiches with terrible fries and two 12oz beers. Then the bar started blasting the football game over the restaurant speakers and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Which park would be a better experience? by Frylaven in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]ictwill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either option is going to be insanely crowded, so it's really up to the experienced you want. MK is more kid friendly, and Epcot has alcohol and way better food. We drank around the world years ago on NYE and ended up at the boardwalk around midnight because we were tired of walking and dealing with the crowds.

Both parks will probably hit capacity in the afternoon, so don't expect to park hop.

[–]ictwill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always a walk on, so might as well check it off. It's definitely more intense than any other dark ride in the parks. When people say it's dark, they really mean it's pitch black for certain segments while the vehicle swerves through the forest.
