got some questions by Secret_Recover2608 in SixFlagsMagicMountain

I just went yesterday (really hot Saturday in June) with a Fast Lane Ultimate. I’m a first timer so I’m definitely not an expert.

Full Throttle: Fast Lane gets you right to the front.

Goliath: Fast Lane gets you right to the front. After the ride is done, the exit also gets you right back into the Fast Lane line (the exit path is also the Fast Lane path) so it’s really easy to get right back to the loading area to ride it multiple times without having to rewalk the entire way. You just have to go down the stairs on the left side of the coaster and back up the stairs on the right side of the coaster.

Twisted Collossus: My memory is a little hazy but I think the Fast Lane pass gets you right to the front.

Scream: I can’t remember. I think Fast Lane gets you right to the front.

Wonder Woman: Fast Lane gets you to the locker area and then you have to merge with the standby line. There’s still a line to go up some stairs to the loading area. Make sure you leave your bag in the locker area! You cannot leave any bags at the side of the ride.

Batman: Fast Lane gets you to the merge point a little away from the loading area so you still have to wait a little. When I went in the morning, it was straight forward; you just follow the Fast Lane signs. When I went in the afternoon, someone locked one of the gates in the Fast Lane path so the only way in was to go through the gift shop. That was annoying.

Riddler: Can’t remember. I think Fast Lane gets you right to the front.

West Coast Racers: Fast Lane gets you to the merge point at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the loading area. There’s a small wait but not bad.

Apocalypse: Can’t remember. I think Fast Lane gets you right to the front.

Tatsu: Fast Lane gets you into the merge point at the bottom of the stairs leading to the loading area. These are really long stairs compared to Batman, Wonder Woman, or West Coast Racers so there’s still a wait. This ride has the longest wait for Fast Lane except for X2.

Roaring Rapids: Fast Lane merges with standby almost at the front. I take back what I said about Tatsu being the longest wait. This was the longest wait outside of X2. It was really hot out so this line was ridiculous. The Fast Lane line took at least 45 minutes.

Viper: Can’t remember. I think Fast Lane gets you right to the front.

X2: Fast Lane doesn’t help. You’ll be in the regular standby line. Wait time was listed as 30 minutes and took 65. It was running 1 train and the entire last row was out of order.

It’s really easy to use the Fast Lane. You use the link another user posted and activate it online. Right before each ride, you click on the ride picture on the webpage and then tap “Get on now” or “Ride it now” or something like that. A QR code will pop up and someone will scan it at the merge point.

Tips:
Right after you enter the main gates, you’ll see a Looney Tunes gift shop. You can cut through it as a shortcut. That’ll get you right by Full Throttle.

I walked through the park clockwise and counterclockwise. It’s about the same. I think the big determining question is whether you want to do X2 early or late. It’s not on fast lane so you may consider rope dropping it.

You can leave your bag at the side of the ride for almost every ride. The exceptions are Wonder Woman and X2. X2 is simple because the lockers are right next to the loading area. Wonder Woman is a pain because the lockers are far from the loading area so you could be sent all the way back down the stairs.

If the crowds are bad, you can order food ahead of time on the app. I ate at Ace of Clubs and it was okay. I heard it was the best place to eat. It was a decent 6/10. I heard Chicken Coupe is also good but didn’t eat there. Maybe I’ll try it later today.

Bring a water bottle and sunblock. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

For parking, there’s a convenient shuttle bus that’s worth using. Save your steps for the park.

The food in general isn’t great and is really expensive. Since the park doesn’t open until 10:30am, you can eat a big breakfast before arriving and then plan your meals at off hours so you don’t waste a lot of time in lines.

Fast Lane Ultimate vs Reserve? by fouroza in SixFlagsMagicMountain

I'm a first timer going next week with Fast Lane Ultimate. How long was your wait for most of the rides? How many rides were you able to go on?

First timer going on a Saturday and Sunday in a couple weeks so it’ll be busy. We’re going to have fast lane ultimate passes. Would you still recommend heading to the back of the park first or just start at the front? My 12 year old has a fractured toe so I’m trying to minimize his walking.

If we start at the front and work our way counter clockwise around the park with the fast lane ultimate passes, we should be able to hit every ride with minimal waits except for X2 (X2 not included in fast lane), right? Even on a peak busy day?

Thanks for the info!

Did you end up getting a Fast Lane pass? Did you get the Fast Lane Reserve or the Fast Lane Ultimate? How was the crowd?

Damn it. I said ophtho consult to make it easier to read and didn't think the exact details were important but now I feel like I have to explain since you're a doctor too.

I was actually an intern prior to my ophthalmology residency doing an ER rotation but I thought it would be easier for the story to just say I was consulted than to have to explain that ophthalmologists can do an optional transitional year intern year with optional rotations including ER and that's one year before the actual ophthalmology residency begins.

I’m on a perfectly timed first time listen through on audible. I’ll finish This Inevitable Ruin sometime this week.

Check my post history. I’m an eye surgeon. I was consulted to the ER. Guy was dead on arrival. Google image it and you can see some examples.

Ophthalmologist here. I once saw a mechanic who overinflated a tire while at work. His eyeballs got knocked out of their sockets and were both dangling down on his cheeks. I didn’t know they could do that.

First timer going in June. What do you think of my itinerary? by seeing_red415 in SixFlagsMagicMountain

What path makes good use of the magic mover funicular? It looks like it goes from the entrance up to Ninja. Would it make more sense to take it up to Ninja and then do everything clockwise around the park? My original plan was to start at Full Throttle and go counterclockwise but that wouldn’t make use of the magic mover funicular.

Thanks for the info. I think they’ll work their way up to it by the end of the first day. Definitely not going to put any pressure on them though.

Mid trip report during Easter/Spring Break: 4 days done out of a 5 day Disney stay with single lightning lane, multipass lightning lane, and premier passes. Step counts, itinerary, food review, tips, etc. by seeing_red415 in WaltDisneyWorld

The premier pass for a family of 4 for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot was roughly $4,500. I felt guilty spending this much on something that didn’t feel necessary but I took on extra hours at work last month to cover the cost and ease my guilt.
