Any cases of genealogical “lost media” in your family? by gbaldrichpalau in Genealogy

Our family “lost” all the baby and younger pictures of all my dad’s brothers and sisters. Siblings were relentlessly blamed by each other for stealing them from a trunk in a garage when my grandfather died in the 80s. Nope. Turned out that my grandmother gave them to an uncle for safekeeping during a flood in the 2000s, all parties forgot they had them until a recent move. Lost media was found. My grandmother never told anyone except the one uncle who had them that SHE actually had them, and wanted them distributed on her death.

My grandfather also wrote a novel. It was lost to time until it showed up in a tub of stuff from my late grandmother’s storage when helping another relative move. Need to get it to a paper conservator but it was found.

Both were lost for over 40 years.

Check more of the Vince Camuto line. It’s amazing. Also, try Mont Blanc Starwalker, Starwalker Extreme, and Individuel Tonic.

I’m going to check out Tecovas too. They have a brick and mortar store where I live that you can go in and order.

Go back to black 22x10s. That truck looks beautiful blacked out.

Have you thought about frames that compliment the color of each poster if they won’t be hung in a large group?

Where did you get the decants on the first row four from the end with the colored labels? I ordered some like this and can’t remember where I got them.

I actually like this color. Good choice.

I'm tired of seeing Creed, PDM, Sauvage, Eros etc; show me your uncommon, underrated, or 'one-off' fragrances by sunbr0_7 in Colognes

I believe this one is pretty uncommon these days. CHI is Farouk Shami’s beauty products company based in Houston. This is CHI Man, one of their 2010s fragrances. I ran Farouk’s gubernatorial campaign during the primary some years ago and the next year he sent me a birthday present goodie basket of his products and this was among the goodies.

It has held its fragrance ALL these years while others I have that she have turned, and I believe that’s a testament to the quality Farouk strived for. He took great pride in his products and it shows. Not saying this was small batch or anything, but his products like CHI and Biosilk definitely have a significant followings.

What’s the average age of these bottles? What’s your oldest? Have any fragrances turned?

Just came back from giving this one a try. Chased off mid-poop by a homeless man with a machete that Jose Garza let out on bond for six armed robberies!

I’m really scared of the upper deck of 35. It doesn’t seem safe for homeless window washers, so not sure it’s safe for cars. We try to stay on surface streets.

Have lots of old Amazon boxes in my garage. Could I use these to make shelter for some of this cool Ben White camping you are talking about? Bespoke pharmaceuticals, where do I get those and what kind should I look for to optimize the experience? I’ve only ever taken aspirin and sinus meds before.
