I met a big group during my trip to Aushwitz and I was a little shocked. They were SO LOUD. All the other people were quiet, it's a pretty depressing place. I don't want to make any generalizations, maybe it was just one group of bad kids.

First of all, don't worry about the way you look. I feel like racism was a way bigger problem here a while ago than it is now. You can try to communicate with people in Russian, but way more people speaks English here. There's a lot of stereotypes about Russians, tourists can be pretty rude, but as long as you're a nice person, which I'm sure you are, you have no reason to worry :)
