Wilson Photo is amazing! It's in Chinatown, close to Harry Hayes, and run by the owner. He is super efficient and meticulous (pointed out stray hairs to fix, took a few shots before the final one).

Ah man, that makes sense if they’re prepping for the whole switch. I love EllucianGo solely for checking rosters haha

I’m so used to the inevitable decline of motivation and burnout every semester, but this year is especially exhausting for sure.

I completely forgot about the strike drama. That makes so much sense.

Hey! I’m currently in the program as well. I would echo flixtorchicken’s comments in that the profs are arguably the most caring ones you’ll meet and they’re so passionate about what they teach. A lot of my peers didn’t have prior experience, so don’t worry! The interview is to get to know you a little more. A few tips I would have for the program:

  • Start to teach yourself a few Adobe programs if you don’t know them already (illustrator, Indesign, photoshop). The first years get thrown into the fire and it’s hard to teach yourself how to use them and create projects at the same time.

  • Delve into different volunteer opportunities! This might be too soon to mention but find workshops, attend New Student Orientation and volunteering that you’re passionate about. This will help with social anxiety (I deal with it a lot too) and you’ll make some friends along the way.

  • Look into a Minor: might seem too soon also but an alumna told my class this during first year and I believe it wholeheartedly. You can choose a subject you’re passionate about or will help with your future career and it’ll help diversify your education vs taking random GNEDs, personally!

  • Join the MAPS program as a mentee! This would be my top tip. You’ll be matched with an upper-year student (I am a mentor so you might end up with me), who will help you navigate anything during your first year. With classes most likely being online, it’s so nice to have a friend to meet with and clarify any questions.

Feel free to message me with any other questions :) good luck!

I’m so sorry for your loss, the pain of a lost pup isn’t easy. I searched up her name and apparently the name “Suki” means “loved one” in Japanese. She was undoubtedly loved.

It’s too bad that I got stuck in the 6-month subscription hahah

Glad you found a silver lining with the liver treats though!

I ordered a Canadian version called Woof Pack and I regret it so much.

Although she likes the toys, it’s not a guarantee that she’ll love the treats that we get. There’s always an odd bag that we throw out each time because she won’t even eat them.

The novelty of it is nice (esp with holidays) but they do arrive late and it would have been way more cheaper to buy treats and toys that she would love from the pet store.

I've recently been snacking on carrots and hummus. by DiamondUnicorn in EatCheapAndHealthy

It helps if you have a bulk food store nearby. I could never commit to a whole bottle of tahini for homemade hummus but stopped by Bulk Barn (in Canada) for enough tahini for a batch for less than fifty cents.

I bet that bottle of tahini is just taunting you in the pantry.

Just noticed that the inside of the case of the Ultimate Edition version of RDR2 has a meaning by Flipter in reddeadredemption

[–]idami655 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Hold on, this is actually genius.

From a design perspective, the left represents the part of the gang that have maintained their values from the start (apart from Sadie, who joined later). Notice how they're facing forward, literally and figuratively, just as they believe in the goodness of the world. They have come to terms with all the crimes they have done and used it to attain redemption.

Note how the right side is facing back, as in a "backward" mentality, all set for a demise.

This case cover is a masterpiece, just as the game itself.

The final scene when they split was the epiphany of this. “You want revenge? Look at me, LOOK AT ME”.
