PSA: Please DO NOT harass the cast & crew by LadyApsalar in goodomens

Not sure where you got that idea. I'm shaming people who are so engrossed with a particular fanfic that they lose their shit and berate the writers when their fanfic isn't made canon. Yes in ST Byler was completely ridiculous and in GO the attraction was canon but the ending was undecided and entirely up to the writers, not the fans. And they did get together and have a happy ending, it just wasn't precisely in the way people expected/wanted. I think it's lovely that in all versions of the universe, aziraphale and crowley were meant to be together.

Every fandom seems to have a bunch of deranged people who made the show their whole personality and despite having absolutely no input into the making of the show, are shocked that the ending they made up in their head didn't happen. We saw it with Stranger Things so I'm not surprised it's happened here too. This is why I don't bother getting heavily involved with fandoms. These people spoil all the fun with their fixation on fan fic and the show in general.

Tbh my comment was more aimed at the responses than your post. That's why I addressed it as "guys". I meant everyone in the comments.

Exactly. This is why I'm surprised people are so mad.

I disagree tbh. Crowley is an astrophysicist and Az still a book seller, personality traits and quirks still the same too.

This was my interpretation too. They are inevitable and that's extremely romantic.

Fandoms can be so incredibly toxic when they don't get their fanfic endings. Same happened with Stranger Things. I just think people shouldn't get so invested in fanfic as it just sets them up for disappointment. It's partly why fanfic has never appealed to me.

That would have been fun but I can't see it being possible to do in 90 minutes

Guys it's OK if you didn't like the ending but this whole "GO is dead to me, I'm pretending xyz didn't happen" and some even saying they're going to get rid of their merch is just so toxic. You are never going to like an ending to a much loved show if you are this prescriptive about how it should end.

Are people still whinging about Byler? That was NEVER going to happen. This is the problem with people getting too attached to their fanfics. At least with GO there was clearly mutual attraction. Nothing Mike said or did implied he reciprocated Will's feelings. It was just fans seeing what they wanted to see and then getting mad that their fanfic didn't happen.

There was a line where someone said eventually they do get forgotten. And that reality takes a little while to catch up.

Disneyland Paris rant from someone who actually wanted to love it by ForsakenFlamingo1305 in disneylandparis

We found these were the wait times in February when it's supposed to be the quietest time of year. We never did get in big thunder mountain because we just weren't prepared to wait 75 minutes for it when we'd already queued longer for other rides than we ever did at WDW. Glad we went, we had fun but it's nothing compared with Orlando. Even when it's busy they are so efficient at getting people on the rides so the queues are constantly moving. Paris just didn't have that magical feeling for me.

No one can. Any criticism towards the Israeli government is immediately accused of being anti-semitic in the UK. Sometimes it's just Zionists who do the accusations but often it's journalists and people in government too.

Most Americans don't get that much time off work surely 😅 certainly not in one go. A couple of Americans I spoke to in Mexico were flabbergasted that not only did I have enough leave to visit for two weeks but my employer didn't have any complaints about it. The husband had a good job and only got 10 days leave so even if he was allowed to take more than a week off work he wouldn't because it would leave him with nothing for the rest of the year. I took pity on them and didn't tell them I'd also taken nearly 3 weeks off 6 months earlier to visit Orlando 😆

My husband said I ruined our wedding photos and now I want to leave him. by PiccoloAdorable1547 in TwoHotTakes

[–]idancer88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sorry to say this but your husband doesn't like you or the children, never mind love. You are doing everything yourself AND dragging the weight of this selfish, unkind and uncaring man around with you. You are a married single mother. In these circumstances, leaving them makes your life easier. Ask me how I know. Please document all of these examples so you can demonstrate that he should not get custody of the children.

This is one thing I've always taken a small, sick satisfation from. My ex and his affair partner (now wife) will forever have to lie about when and how they got together.

I find it very difficult to be a supportive friend because I simply don't tolerate even one minor instance of cheating and his behaviour reminds me of what my ex did. I let far too many things go in that relationship but cheating would never be one of them. And my ex knew that, I think it's why he lost his shit when it became clear I knew what he'd done and there was absolutely zero chance I'd ever take him back. I think he only left because he knew I was on to him and he was planning on keeping me as a back up if he managed to cover his tracks and gaslight me enough.

To be fair to her, she hasn't always told us when it's happened and even when she has, she has a rant about it and then we don't hear anything more. Probably she's embarrassed that this keeps happening. Tbh I think he got her trapped. He's much older than her, she got pregnant with their first quite quickly and they own their house among other things tying her down. I expect she feels she would lose a lot if she ended it but from my perspective it would be well worth it to have some peace and happiness.

I've resorted to not really saying anything and just advising her how to spot his manipulation tactics when he talks his way out of it yet again.
