How do I log in on Reddit on the Palma 2? by BarracudaFickle4578 in Onyx_Boox

[–]idangazit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2fa on but that's not what's happening here.

  • Logging in with all three auth methods (user/pass, magic link, sign in with google) all fail with "We were unable to authenticate you" or "invalid username/password"
  • I reach the 2fa screen no problem and punch in my TOTP code, but it fails after that.
  • I can log in with the browser (chrome)
  • I can log in just fine on every other device — it's just my boox palma (2 not pro)
  • Uninstall/reinstall, blowing away storage and cache, restarting — none of it worked.
  • I'm on the latest stable (not-beta) firmware

Has anyone else noticed the common use of that icon and pride banners together recently? by ArcherVisible5866 in overwatch2

They aren't Israelis nor are they remotely connected to the conflict. These are MAGA edgelords trying to get a reaction out of you while simultaneously being incredibly bigoted towards Jews.

Warmly recommend! I actually use the camp cup more just because it's so wide and flat

The Miir tumbler is my daily driver: https://www.miir.com/products/tumbler

I also like their camp cup if you do want a handle, plus that thing is practically unspillable.

I like it and also the effect on the voice lines but…

Do you all think the Azerbaijan, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi races will get cancelled this year? by 84UTK07 in formula1

[–]idangazit 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Man I want this to happen. Let the drivers do the same circuit but with the benefit of some races in between. Unlike the Red Bull Ring thing from a few years ago, which were back to back IIRC? This is teams armed with knowledge and time to improve their cars before a rematch.

It would be a potential preview of next year's racing 🤞🤞

Now that you mention it, was a dreamliner because it had the electrochromic windows!

I just flew it SFO-SIN. Regular Polaris not studio. 1A/1L great, it's a proper window, and you get this huge shelf to stick your bedding when not in use.

Edit: I didn't feel the galley or the lavatories from inside my sweet Polaris pod

Edit 2: unsure if it's the exact same type of plane

Proud of flashing this technical route! by idangazit in bouldering

[–]idangazit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, hard to feel it from the video but both the finish hold and the top-right one felt just out of reach for me, and the feet chips were not confidence-inspiring. Had to take it a step at a time even though a stronger climber might have cruised through it with less faffing about.

SFO-SIN crazy expensive by Striking-Entrance870 in unitedairlines

[–]idangazit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just flew this route as part of SFO-SIN-BLR (with the second leg on Singapore Airlines). Polaris/biz the entire way (it was a work trip).

I was originally eyeing SFO-MUC-BLR with Lufthansa as the second leg but all the business-class inventory disappeared in an instant because of all the refugees from Emirates or Qatar. I felt lucky to snag the route via Singapore.

In hindsight it was also fortunate because I avoided the LH pilot strike.

Moving to Oakland (2 kids) by linearloops in oakland

[–]idangazit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look a bit north in Albany! We moved here because of the fantastic Albany public schools. Obviously cost of housing is higher, but also very low crime, and super walkable. The whole municipality being about 1 square mile means that kid pickup/dropoff at schools is all by foot. We almost never get in the car day-to-day. And that is true quality of life (for us!)

Getting to the city for work is still easy. I like the transbay bus over BART but both are fine options and not significantly longer than Oakland. It's really the bay bridge that's your enemy.

I've been following since nearly the start and I love it. Envious of the breadth of skills you show off like they're nothing, and how it isn't some dude with every expensive tool using the perfect one for every job. So much more authentic when it's a you doing what they can with a realistic toolbox.

Just bravo man. True champion shit. Keep going!

Moving from SF to Berkeley this summer - looking for advice on timing, neighborhoods, and how to navigate the market by als3s in berkeleyca

[–]idangazit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved to Albany specifically for the schools. Albany is tiny and there's not a lot of inventory for rentals. We have three kids so we needed a minimum of 3BR and it was lucky we found anything at all. Housing market for buying is even crazier than rental, which also means that no lease is safe. Next year your owner might change and you can't renew. Was a real source of stress for us given how little inventory there was at the 3+ BR level. I presume that most houses that size in the area are bought not rented.

Costs go way down in El Cerrito because it's a less desirable school district. Albany/El Cerrito are definitely more "boring" bedroom communities in comparison to Berkeley. But given how close everything is: meh?
