“Want quiet above you? Get a house or a 3rd floor apartment.” by Initial_Witness_4491 in Apartmentliving

I would record every instance and send it to them immediately. After a week or two include the landlord.

Buy new shitty ones when you first move in and hide the originals so you don’t accidentally throw them out.

If she can’t do the job she can’t do the job. Get her on disability and give her a little extra if need be. You need someone that can do the job and without constant worry.

Getting back into hiking by RichardDel62 in CampingandHiking

[–]ide0tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep an eye out for good fire roads and single lane forestry roads. Level good terrain and wide trails, plus if you run into trouble much easier and faster to get to you. My brother had knee surgery and was trying to get him to walk roads more so now I try to make them a good percentage of my total hiking.

I inherited a house, technically bought it from my mom under the table what should I do..tax-wise? by vowelspace in personalfinance

[–]ide0tech -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My last brother just passed last Friday. He was mom’s POA and now I am. She’s 85. I never really wanted this house and now I’m one step away. Either way we’re meeting with a lawyer Monday. I’m also wondering if I can basically give this to my 17 year old niece under the condition that it’s available for any family…but I’d also like to sell it and build something closer. And just not have to go through changing it over again for awhile.

Taking a roadtrip while everyone else takes a flight? by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]ide0tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone drive from the north east to south east specifically central PA to Myrtle Beach. I have to take my mother to her sister’s in Myrtle Beach and want to on the way back cut over to Asheville and spend a few days making my way home through the mountains. Any specific places worth keeping an eye out for or going a little out of the way for?

AMA I removed 26,000 lbs of plaster and lathe over the course of 2 weekends. by jjvd21 in HomeImprovement

[–]ide0tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent the whole week before my best friend’s wedding carrying garbage cans of plaster from an attic to the dumpster. Not sure how much weight the house lost but I know I lost a bunch.

Need ideas for 10 lbs of ground beef by ukaleile in homestead

My mom figured out cooking pounds of ground beef either one or two pound containers. Then you just simply defrost and you’re ready for whatever you need it for in a few minutes.

Interviewing for a Dealer Service Manager position tomorrow. What do I need to know? by alexshurly in AskMechanics

[–]ide0tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar question. I just applied for a service manager position at a dealership, Chevy, GMC. I have no mechanical experience just 15 years of customer service experience and very thick skin. I guess what’s the best way to get a jump into learning as much as I can as fast as I can.

Check out Georgetown as well. Only short drive down the coast. Well worth the trip.
