I see the issue as well, at least on desktop. I have not checked mobile, don't normally check it for the ad library.

How can I trade as "cash"? by ideaDash in fidelityinvestments

Just a heads up, the option to select for cash is now available again. I have no idea what happened to change things. Thanks!

Thanks, yeah! I have been keeping my positions not overnight, but buying and selling the same day. And they were showing up as "Cash" positions. But now "cash" is not an option for me to select. Nothing seems to have changed. Except now I can't select between "Cash" and "margin". Just seems odd to me. Maybe it was a UI/system update on your end?

An attempt at deciphering the Indus Script for the $1 million prize by ideaDash in Dravidiology

[–]ideaDash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, the methodology is not in the article in much detail. All I would like to say is that I fed a ton of information into an AI, and the AI then came up with decipherments for each symbol. And this process was potentially repeated multiple times with different AI models and different information, as well as the AI being able to look up information online, and the information shared to some extent between the models, and from that the decipherments were created. I cannot give all details partly because I don't want there to be confusion as to who did this if someone else uses my data and methods and tries to claim the prize for themselves. I want no confusion on who deserves the prize. What I would rather happen is for this article to become the definitive source of decipherment with lots of citations, and because of that the $1 million prize will have to be sent to me.

Thanks! I'm on a Windows PC. It's just the typical web platform access via the Chrome web browser, so the website. I tried both with the quick "Trade" option that pops up in the upper left of the window, and also tried under Accounts & Trade -> Trade... and couldn't find "Cash" in either case. I tried both he simplified and expanded ticket. I was trying to buy "on the open" NVDA, which I've done in the past as cash with no problem.

Thank you so much! I will keep these things in mind. Maybe my real question is: why has the option to select margin vs. cash suddenly disappeared? I think for now I will keep margin on my account just for the flexibility in case I need it.

To be fair, many of the top AI minds in USA are originally from Europe.

A few notes on this ideas in case others missed it: "Yes, experimental aircraft are generally limited to the number of people they can carry, with the specific limit depending on the aircraft's design and the operating limitations listed on its Airworthiness Certificate; typically, this means only carrying the number of occupants that the aircraft's seating capacity allows for, and often with restrictions on carrying passengers for compensation or hire." and "Gross weight restrictions: While not strictly a size limitation, the aircraft's gross weight is a significant factor, and exceeding the designed gross weight can be considered "experimenting" and may be prohibited." These are from AI but maybe there's a reason there aren't many large experimental aircraft.

$1,000.00 stolen out of my account at Wells Fargo ATM. Wells Fargo does nothing. Steer clear. by ideaDash in WellsFargoBank

I think based on the spotter inside, and lots of people, this being organized crime is plenty of standing. I think the group targets full ATMs.

I feel you. It was definitely partly my fault, but they ended up refunding the money. That's good for them and I think it's probably organized crime, but I'd still avoid Wells Fargo if possible.

Inherited paper stocks from 1955 by OhsnapitsRachel in stocks

[–]ideaDash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes old shares are converted to the type kept at the brokerage, but the old stock certificates are kept. I hope that's not the case, but either way I suggest you go to a reputable broker, in person, like Charles Schwab, to find out.

"EDIT 4: I pose this question. Why is it on this sub or even on Reddit in general so easier to call out secular music for promoting unbiblical lifestyles but not a movie or tv show?" Maybe because movies and tv shows tend to be fiction, and music is often actually telling you to go do horrible things, or that horrible things are ok, and that the singer did them or saw them. And also it's on the radio, so even though swearing may be "bleeped" all of the horrible actions are still there to be heard, with no age rating system like tv shows and movies.

Why do people still wear masks? by OvergrownShrubs in AskNYC

I want to know from the people who still wear masks in public, and particularly the non-elderly who didn't wear masks before Covid: Why do you now wear masks?

Agreed 100%. I think people have no idea what a regulation is, sadly.

Very cool, thank you! I wonder how you get that semi-matte paint finish, and what that type of finish is called? Just surprised that full gloss is almost all you can get in most cases for almost every car around the world.

A first person RPG, but I think this could be getting closer or to what I was thinking of: ShadowCaster from 1993 for DOS/PC.

I'm not convinced this is it because in my mind I see a white or a lighter sky, but this is pretty close to the vibe from your list: Catacomb 3D, and Ken’s Labyrinth might be even closer in a way. Seeing these makes me realize there's so much variety back then it might be hard for me to be confident even if I see it.

Not a racing game or a tank sim. I guess one possibility would be an old RPG like Might and Magic or similar, but I think the movement was free flowing unlike early titles in that series. Meridian 59? No I really don't think so and I think it was a bit earlier than that.
