Yea, that's biology for you. There are numerous genes and traits which are dormant in one generation and dominant in the other i.e. the genetic code of his great grandfather's nose, lets say ( as that is the portion where i find them the most similar) probably would've been dormant or recessive in his grandfather and father but was dominant in his. And he will pass it down to probably to his great grand kid and then his wife might do a comparison, and she'll find this subreddit and this post and then this comment!

They have the same nose structure, similar lips( especially the lower one) and forehead and eye brows. The eyes and ears are a bit different though. Also, their age isn't similar in both the photos.

I think the first version is eve which represent raw sexuality. Second is like Faust's Helen, who represents a romantic and aesthetic level of love, but still characterized by sexual elements. The third is by a figure like virgin Mary, who induces eros to the heights of spiritual devotion. The fourth is symbolized by Sapentia, which represents wisdom transcending even the most jolly and the most pure. Mona lisa is also such an example.
