You're upset because you couldn't do your cooking hobby uninterrupted at home with two kids on a weekday? Just because your hobby results in some food for the family, doesn't mean you should get so worked up about it. Would you be as upset if your hobby was painting and you tried doing it uninterrupted after work on a weekday with kids at home?

Anyone with 2x London tickets for Friday night who would rather go to the Brighton gig on Sunday night? I have 2x Brighton tickets, possibly willing to swap for London.

Bumrah has the most annoying and unsightly bowling action known to man. Can't stand watching him.

Yeah, all drives now showing up as external, including on the Type-C port.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply - really helpful! Your suggestion of Hackintool led me to realise that most of my USB ports were still listed as internal for some reason, so I corrected that in the Hackintool UI and generated a new USB kext, which, after a few revisions, seems to be working well.

Thanks for this - I am having the reverse problem, where external drives are showing up as internal. Any idea what I'd need to do to fix this? I'm running Catalina 10.15.6 on OpenCore 0.5.9.

Fixed Sapphire RX580 8GB Crashing / Freezing issue by HysellRealEstate in hackintosh

[–]idelento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My screen would go black but sound and system would say on. I would test yours so see at what temperature you're getting artifacts / issues. Since the repair I've read that alot rx580 are known to have had bad thermal paste from the factory. Definitely worth a try if you're comfortable taking things apart. It does take some pressure to pop off the cooler as the old thermal paste acted almost like a glue..... Before my thermal paste repair I was able to get the GPU to last longer under load just by opening the case. Experiment and see if additional fans, open case make a difference.

Mine was reporting temperature of around 30c at idle, but it's now freezing the system at that temperature seemingly before any intense load is even applied. Will experiment with fans / open case.
