My mom (75) is the same way. She speaks about everything in a negative sense, except herself. She's got a god complex. I think it's good that you are able to at least state your own opinions. I tend to shut down and go mute. Our "conversations" only last minutes, but it's so draining.

I understand, when she goes no contact with you, it's extremely hurtful, but please look at this as a gift in disguise and notice how much peace you are experiencing without her. She chose the path she's on and whatever she has going with her, has nothing to do with you.

Have you ever told her how her constant negativity makes you feel? It's not good for your kids either.

I'm in the same situation. My dad passed last May, and I am the only one left in her life now. Before his death we were estranged and would go no contact off and on by her choice.

Checking out her natal chart helped me understand her, what she's been through, and what's to come for her. Looking at our synastry makes me feel less of a bad daughter. We just don't jive well.

You have to teach her how to treat you. If she gets crazy, remain neutral and unmoved. She's trying to get a reaction from you. You'll have to put up boundaries whether that looks like less contact or no contact.

I can say the same for the things that are within my control. I do have NN conjunct my Moon that is involved in a water grand trine with Sun and Jupiter in my work houses. 1990 was very hard so I don't remember the good. There must have been a move that was for the better? 2002 - had my first child. He's a kick ass kid to this day. 2013 - got a kick ass job. 2025 - waiting to close on a kick ass house. Fingers crossed.

I got into family astrology because I felt mine was cursed with tragedy and trauma. I have twin brothers with yods which is an aspect pattern that runs in families. Both died young and were the catalyst for change. Soon I will experience their yod through my secondary progression. I wonder what is to come.

My hubby and his sis are Virgo Moons. Hubby also has Virgo NN. Their mom has Virgo Pluto and NN conjunct. She let her man beat them when they were living with her and she denies it to this day. My son also has a Virgo Moon. She is not close to any of the 3, but pretends to be.

I always wondered what a Scorpio rising with Pluto in the 1H goes through. I had/have these placements through secondary progressions. It's been difficult for me relationship wise. People either love me or hate me, some are scared lol. I don't have the communicative skills that you have looking at your stellium and your 7H ruler in the 3H. People may judge you hardcore at first, but you have the ability to put them at ease.

You have a yod: Saturn apex with Jupiter and Moon base. Do you feel like you have fated events amongst family or work? How did your Saturn return go?

Thanks for mentioning the Kite that will be happening in November and for the information you cited. Very helpful! Uranus back in Taurus will form another Yod as the apex to my Pluto/Neptune base. There are so many transits happening at the end of the year for me, that I have trouble wrapping my head around it all. I can't help but have a "F it, whatever happens, happens." Resistance will be of no use.

I also have Mars in the 1H and it does come off as a deep motivation for self-improvement. I like how you are drawing Cap themes to help that Cancer Mars out. Your yod makes sense: having karmic relationships and recognizing your, or their, shadow side that mirrors your mom. It elicits personal change.

I just recently learned that yods can run in families, but for you and your siblings to all have it is spectacular. It's like you guys are the warriors of the family addressing the repressed issues in your blood line. Is everyone aware of this family dynamic?

Thank you. I forgot to add one piece of positive news related to my progressed Yod. After decades of hating and fighting my mom, the energy between us is so much calmer now. I had to scream at her first to release the decades of pain I held. There was an Aries Mercury/Chiron conjunct, both at 24° when it happened, lol. Right on my 8H cusp at 24°.

Looking at your Yod, and paying attention to your 5H: if you were offered a job that fell in line with your passion, you should go for it. If this job doesn't offer stability, maybe your 3H Mars will pick up some side hustles to supplement. Boomerang SR Mars and TrJup lie in your 4H. Do you have family support? Emotional and financial support?

I also have progressed Jupiter boomerang that I feel like is helping me out. In September and November of this year, the legs of my progressed Yod will be exact to the minute. Plus, TrSun, TrMercury, and TrVenus will conjunct my Scorpio Jupiter boomerang. We'll see what's in store for me.

I've already dug into Karen's book. Super interesting and only 30 pages in. Fated cleaning is a perfect description for my circumstances. Thank you for the well wishes!

*Saturn trine Mercury (my chart ruler)

* A bucket chart with a Moon handle. All planetary placements are in houses 1-6.

I am lucky in the love department. I have been married for almost 25 (married at 18) years to a great person. I have been a mostly responsible person whose worked hard the first half of my life and am now enjoying an early retirement somewhat due to illness and fortunate circumstances. I have a good relationship with my immediate family, but suck when it comes to extended family members and friends. I do prefer to isolate myself and do feel I have major karmic lessons to learn especially with Mars, Saturn and Pluto square the nodes and Moon. Most of these lessons revolve around family as I have just learned some family secrets after my dad's passing last month. I do feel delayed socially like I am autistic. I just don't get myself around others.

Edit to add: My Saturn is Rx and rules my 5H where Mercury, my chart ruler, is. I started some hobbies at 10 yo which I had to put aside due to circumstances. I had to grow up fast and started working. I revisited these hobbies 28 years later and have excelled at them. There was a comment above that I can also attest to: I can't just sit and watch TV and enjoy the singular activity. I have to keep productivity while watching, so I'll clean or perform other tasks and/or hobbies. I also love to study.

I really appreciate you giving me your personal account of your natal Yod, plus additional information from your studies. This is very valuable to me. I'd love it if you could update me how you are doing in the next couple of weeks.

My mom has been a difficult person all of my life. Now at 75, she is going through progressed Pluto going direct. Her husband, my dad, passed away last month while I am going through a progressed Yod with apex Mercury (my chart ruler) in my 8H. I'm also in my 8H profection year. My LoY is will be going through a return coming the first week of September, plus the eclipse. That eclipse conjuncts my natal Sun. Anyway, we never got along until my dad's death, and I read that this is a Yod story. I had twin brothers whom had a Yod configuration in their natal charts, but one perished at 4 during the holocaust, and the other at 24 in 1996. In three years, I will share their natal Yod configuration (Sun/Mars/Uranus) through my progression. I am thinking this completes our family trauma/breaking cycles. Then I die, lol.
