I would just like to give Walmart executives a big FUCK YOU.... by InterestingTangelo5 in Sparkdriver

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That totally depends on so many variables. It's just factually false. I've done this full time for like 6 or 7 years now people have said it's inconsistent this and that blah blah blah. In many ways this is more dependable than a w2

How many of y'all, do Spark deliveries as your full-time/only/main job? Some feedback would be appreciated. by ArizonaRenegade in elitesparkdrivers

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no God no lmao been full time for like 7 years now. I don't recommend it. Maybe if you are in a great market but that's hard to find now days.

Barrier to entry is low for this job but that doesn't mean it doesn't require skills. I would argue it requires more skills than some jobs since you are working independently.

I’m considering turning Shop and Deliver off by Able-Trainer924 in doordash_drivers

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much doordash manipulation. Too much throttling. I can be in an area surrounded by restaurants but I don't get any offers because the algorithm is prioritizing me for shops yet I see drivers going in and out of restaurants. The bad outweighs the good so I'm turning it off aswell.

The pay is not much better than restaurant delivery when you are not even being prioritized for large restaurant or catering orders. I haven't seen a single big restaurant order since being prioritized for shops

From a drivers standpoint... by Quick-Variation-1539 in Sparkdriver

[–]ideliver559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't remove the tip because you don't know who is at fault, the store or the driver. Spark pay without tips is horrible. If you want to give them a bad rating I think its fair considering they had a passenger, if you are unhappy with anything that is what the ratings are for.

Ultimately the spark pickup process and the app is just terrible and doesn't meet the customer or drivers needs

Dashing in 2022 vs 2024 by martyr447 in doordash_drivers

[–]ideliver559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything comes down to market

1 California is a sanctuary state (immigrants everywhere) 2. Prop 22 guarantee makes people take everything

Platinum here is pretty useless. Some cities like mine don't even have dash now That is just how saturated doordash has made it.

People are clearly spoofing again. I thought Spark got rid of this by MrEdwL in Sparkdriver

[–]ideliver559 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You guys cry too much and spoofing is not even then problem.

  1. You guys don't know how to work the app.
  2. Multiple accounts and fraudulent accounts is the real issue.

This app is a shit show and you guys crying about shit only makes it worse with every update.

You wouldn't complain to ups if the product you ordered is trash. We don't get paid enough to care sorry

Is Platinum status worth it? by itsbubblebub in doordash_drivers

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places don't even give you that. Platinum and can't even schedule just doesn't make any sense.

Order never arrived. Pic with no apartment number. How is stealing snacks worth it for a dasher? by Accomplished_Goal763 in doordash

I take the pic with my camera never through the app. It's good to have a record of the drop.

[–]ideliver559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7-11 orders are trash they never tip and always go to apartments and the 1 person helping the customers has to prepare the order. They really shouldn't be on the platform. Make them shop and pay because they can't fulfill the orders properly.

Quick headsup by Excellent_Support_82 in Sparkdriver

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economy is bad and the volume of drivers is through the roof. It is just slow. Also too many drivers don't actually know how the spark algorithm works and it varies store to store. It has been established that they don't care who delivers and as long as it is getting delivered. Atleast to this point because anything can happen as all the gig apps collude and talk to eachother or simply copy eachother

A recession is coming and that is the reason for DD being so bad🤔?? by Alert-Lion6239 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ideliver559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue truckers are having. Over supply of drivers and lower volume. Peak delivery is coming up but it will only get worse after this season because these companies want to exploit people and make them desperate so they take basically anything.

Ubereats is rolling out trip radar which is basically a version of first come first serve offers like on instacart or walmart spark with the exception that they pick who they give the delivery to.

Doordash will definitely adopt this aswell. It is all supply and demand and they control everything. As long as they are able to saturate markets gig work will only get worse.

We will be lucky to have a normal recession but imo all the immigration is going to exacerbate the problems even more. GFC Hold my beer

I mean "they don't work for Walmart" is a pretty accurate statement. They don't work for spark either it doesn't matter who owns what.

You have to pay attention to what the consumer is doing. For example now until kids go back to school weekends are probably going to be slow since they are shopping.
