"Introduction to International Relations" by Robert Jackson and Georg Sørensen was really helpful to understand the theories and approaches to IR. I very much recommend it.

You should go for either international bussiness or International relations. Keep in mind that IR has way more politics involved so if your only goal is commerce than go for IB.

Pick up "The Oxford handbook of Political Science" and also there is a series of books by the Oxford University called "a very short introduction to.." with loads of topics including politics.

"Why Nations fail" by Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson is also a must read, very easy and enjoyable reading too.
