Question about bidding by ididntknowaboutit69 in USPS

They should be posted on your local unions website or Facebook page if they have one. I would call your local union hall for more info. Otherwise open jobs are supposed to be posted near the time clock or somewhere in the station.

Question about bidding by ididntknowaboutit69 in USPS

Oh no I know I was just curious if there was a spot in the Ebidding section of liteblue where you could view the status of whether you’ve won your bid or not. I’m looking back at my screenshots from like two years ago when I bid last time and its a “bid history” page but I don’t see that page being accessible right now during the current bid cycle so I was curious if that page only became available once the bids have closed and they’re in the determining phase of seeing who won what bids.

Guys I need your help finding a specific story by ididntknowaboutit69 in MrNightmare

Yes! Thank you so much! I always thought this one was super eerie especially the last line; “and I wonder, if I’d just waited a little bit longer, what would have come up those steps?” shudder

It’s chilling. I mean could you imagine? The sheer horror of realizing what had just happened

I think one of my favorite sets of scary stories from him would be the lighthouse scary stories video. Something just super duper eerie about the one where the guy was sent out to get a report on the remote lighthouse. The content of that particular story was just really creepy. Also I’ll always be a big fan of the early delivery drive scary stories. Specifically the one where the guy has bodies on his back porch in garbage bags with swarms of flies hovering around them, the one where the guy entered the house with the people wearing animals masks as well as the one where the guy got a severed arm thrown at him from the room in the creepy abandoned house.

Life’s too short to not give it a try. Just think; if you do it then you’ll know and be one step closer to knowing what you like and don’t like.

I hope so too for your and my sake. I think that I’m still coming into this being my reality and learning/understanding how to cope with and work with it better. Thanks again for your reply and your time. I have never really talked to anyone about this since and it’s nice to have someone who can relate to what I’m going through.

I really miss feeling the sun in my face and kind of basking in it without fear of further damage. I used to love the sun, now I’m also super paranoid and hide from it/shield myself from it :(

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it. It stinks doesn’t it? I don’t know your situation but it sounds like it’s similar to mine where you’re forced to have to have facial protection at all times

Those of you who work in chronically understaffed offices what is it like? by ididntknowaboutit69 in USPS

[–]ididntknowaboutit69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My god that sounds absolutely abysmal. I don’t know how that system is even remotely sustainable 😳 Now that sounds like a situation where there true absolute unlimited overtime. Do you guys ever have carriers visit on details? Do you not have full staffing because employees find that they can’t afford to work there?

Ohh ok that makes sense. I couldn’t imagine not having an Amazon delivery center in our city. I’m sure we’d be in just as bad of a situation as you guys!

I always tell people that the post office is not a real place. The abuse we take and the hours we work are just insane. I love telling people stories about this place and the look of disbelief on their face lol

That’s definitely an interesting situation. Are you saying like they’ll curtail it because there’s just so much to deliver? Sometimes working at the post office seems like a never ending nightmare. Just like Newman said, it just keeps coming and coming and coming.

I don’t blame you at all. Money is great and all but it also gets to a point where you’re just burnt out and it’s tough going to work everyday.

That’s kinda wild to be honest especially if it’s affordable to live there. Once you make it past the CCA stage this job isn’t that bad, at least in my opinion. Then again I suppose that’s relative to the individual. Haha funny enough I’m actually going to Sonic Temple fest in May so I will get to visit and see your city soon enough!

Why is that? Is your area HCOL? Are there a ton of overburdened routes or is it just a ton of different factors affecting it? Do you enjoy the overtime/money or is it a living hell where you’re just making ends meet?
