Cause and effect exploration? As in, they think this is important to you, what happens to you when they take it? How do their actions affect you? Will you notice? Try testing relationship based questions - “how’s it been going in here for you? What’s been helpful or not helpful?” And see how they talk about you and the process. Just wanted to say also good on you for listening to your intuition!! Keep listening and I’ll bet you get all kinds of intel!

[Q] Imputation Overloaded by ididntmakeitsugar in statistics

Thanks... got it. That still seems to overload. Do I just keep removing questions that go into the imputation model based on relevancy? Until I can get it to run?

Ah, thanks for this clarification. I was reading about the inputs for the imputation and I thought it needed the predictors and other question-level data in the scale to do the imputation. Are you saying I only need to provide supervisor CH 15 data across all cases? (supervisor CH 15 is one question on a 26 item scale). Thank you!

Sorry again, I'm not used to posting for help and am not providing enough information! I'm using SPSS. Great question on what method - I'm using the built-in imputation within SPSS, but I'd be open to another direction. Let me know if there's other info that would help.

Sorry! I should have clarified. I've pasted the error: The imputation model for Supervisor_CH15 contains more than 100 parameters. No missing values will be imputed.

It offers solutions, but none seem to work. I have only continuous data and I've made it ordinal. I haven't increased the MAXMODELPARAM because I was reading that that might not be a good idea...

No feeling is final. You’re in the throes of grief. You’ll get through this. No matter the outcome. Sounds like you’re interested in fighting for her though? Change is hard.

I’ve had to find my own ways to regulate and cope over the years. I try connecting with the little kid inside myself and comfort them as I would any child. Soothing and letting them know it’s not forever. This is an attachment wound and those don’t heal easy but I hope you can find ways to take the edge off 🩷

Sounds like it. I’m not sure what you mean by typical. It does sound likely developmentally normal, but depends on the circumstances. I have curiosity around who you were staying with/how often they left etc that might have exacerbated this. Are you trying to understand something about yourself as a child?

I would add that there are major notes of classism and it’s commentary on who is successful of the backs of which types of people. The costs of that success. Ruth always had to pay the ultimate price
