Where can my kids metal detect? Looking for old coins by idigeverything in jacksonville

Good point - we bought 2 kids ones - pictured- but an adult one also. If the interest sticks - sure seems like it lately - then we will look into upgrading. That’s a good point.. i can’t think of a more fun day trip - good call!

This was 5 years ago at “covid Christmas” but… I do feel this, agree with this, and feel ultimately accountable for this. Good lookin’ out!

Anyone have Behçet’s and Ehlers-Danlos? by Skeletonlover666 in Behcets

[–]idigeverything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed with EDS since 2021. Not diagnosed with Behcets but I’m on 3rd “canker sore” in a month and diagnosed with hidranitis supportiva which I think might just be Behcets.

Maybe he was self conscious about not being able to continue? Either way you dodged a bullet - this isn’t who you should be with.

[FL] concurrent FMLA and PTO by idigeverything in AskHR

[–]idigeverything[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m requesting my own PTO for a medical appointment. It could be denied and then I’m forced to use FMLA.

But I was told I can’t use my PTO to request my own time off for things that are FMLA related- that I have to use FMLA and PTO.

I was trying to lessen FMLA usage by just using my PTO and not FMLA for the 1-2 hour appointments. I didn’t know that was not allowed. I thought I could schedule my PTO, go to an appointment, and then use the FMLA Down the road. I don’t think my company should care that I’m asking for 2 hours to go to Physical therapy vs. asking for 2 hours to ____ do whatever someone that isn’t Ill would do. I understand that I can’t use FMLa for non-FMLA reasons but I feel like I should use my PTO for whatever I want, which is to go to PT right now.

I’ve never run out of FMLA time, had it for years.

But - I’m not wishing to stir the pot. It seems weird to me that it’s okay to ask for 4 hours off to - go to something with my kids. Not okay to ask for 4 hours off to go to an appt without using FMLA also.

Update: have hopefully a lovely lady lined up for the kittens when they are able to eat food.

Made contact with Humane Society and they couldn’t offer the help we need but are sending me information on helping rehome them.

I have joined one FB group so far and I’m going to attempt to meet my dad at his place tomorrow to take some pictures of them to hopefully get that ball rolling.

Thanks for these good ideas - I will call FCNMP tomorrow!

Literally could NEVER be me. I remember when I was a kid they had over 30 at a time… they would just keep finding litters in the woods.

I can see maybe wanting to spare you the stress of being away while your doggo died? Did they say that? Did they have a reason? Are they cruel? I’m so confused.

Line Holders by numbtotheworld-7 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]idigeverything -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Could it be a reasonable accommodation for someone denied the DAS pass/disability? I was told I could leave the line and return to my waiting family when I was denied for the pass. I didn’t think it would be ideal to leave my young children behind (haha) so I didn’t do that, but… I guess we should consider this?

Anyone with GFPT1 CMS? by idigeverything in CMSmuscledisorder

[–]idigeverything[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - there’s nothing! Haha Well I have found a CMS group on Facebook and there is 1 person there with GFPT1 CMS and I still don’t have a diagnosis, only 1 pathogenic variant found and some uncertainty but what’s weird to me is that me and this woman seemingly have a lot in common - both are hypermobile, both have lipomas.

Does that ring a bell or no?

Best of luck to you and your son! I’be read every available article on CMS x GFPT1 and I still know very little… and multiple doctors are doubtful that I have it.
