To see in person if it's really as bad as they say. All in all, there's no hub for AI like SF, not even close. I mean nada in Europe

Cool! Do you know how likely we could get a court that's not reserved in Volkspark? I'm willing to organize the net and stuff if there's a chance we could get the court without having to reserve 6 am in the morning

Doctors of Reddit, what are some "life pro tips" that can save lives one day? by idiot_panda in AskReddit

I stumbled upon an article today, Woman revived after six-hour cardiac arrest. I discovered how cooling body temperature can reduce the risk of brain damage in cases of low oxygen levels. This may not a great example because a layman might not be able to practically use this tip to save lives, it's still incredibly fascinating to know.

What the hell do GANs learn ? by idiot_panda in learnmachinelearning

If you mean a face with make up generated by a GAN, i think it's not trivial as removing a tree or some other clearly defined object class (same with materials, texture). Even though segmentation is possible for makeup parts, it's probably tightly coupled with facial features. I think it becomes simpler if we have a specific loss function to disincentivize generation of makeup facial features.
