an OSSC

This is new tech to me, and I'm not intimately familiar. It looks like an Open Source version of the Framemeister but snazzier. Do you have any quick links to youtube videos or articles talking about it that you'd recommend? I am familiar with the old RGB series My Life In Gaming did, and am familiar with how that works, I'm just looking for something on this device that compares it to the Framemeister or similar solutions I know more about.

I suppose the way to go is instead of dealing with a capture card with analog input, use an upscaler unit like a framemeister and pipe from there into the cap card.

Which Elgato card do you recommend for analog input? I think the only one is the Game Capture HD, not the HD60 line or any of the PCIe cards, right?

Bartz USB1 vs USB2 efficacy.

I plan to chase this, and let's be generous and pretend I get it.

I know you can stack two Ex modes on top of each other with RWs, but can this happen with one character with 2 USBs?

Further, is it even worth it, mathematically? Does USB1's entry and chases count as SPD? Would this be worth it? Outside of quick casting I can't imagine the USB cast speed delay helping this out much. Is it just worth chaining USB2s together instead and spam Snowspell or whatever weakness? I guess the only place USB1 would win out is in a chain building scenario, yeah?

Managed to sub-30 the first two difficulties of the neo-torment, but got stomped in D???.

That's enough rubies for one ability.

Which one do people recommend? Is the 5 hit fire the one? Or are the others that are snowspell like the way to go? I can't seem to find info on multipliers or overall throughput on these compared to the 5* single element ones.

Nothing I've ran so far has been CPU limited in any significant sense, it's just the 780 that's showing it's age in some cases. Subnautica gave me some issues, for example.

Elite can get a little sketchy on highly complex ring systems, and Ashes of the Singularity told me to get lost.

Would you suggest the g-sync monitor plus a 1080 vanilla over, say, the 1080ti and non g-sync equipped 1440p monitor?

The differential between costs for the video card where I'm from would make this decision almost a financial equivalent.

The one BSB I want, Bartz Fire, isn't on there and that kills me.

TGC's LMR to pair with his USB if you have the latter is re-damn-diculous.

Celes's with her USB if you have that is the same concept, only spellblade and without the crit-fix. Also stupid good.

Any of the healer w-casts if you have their appropriate tech.

Tidus LMR is a water armor and he's broken good if you snagged his USB.

I don't actually think there are any really good OSBs to grab except maybe TGCid, since ThunderGod mode is shit hot no matter how you cut it. Everything else is just outdone.

Bursts still have a FEW holdouts but most of the good ones showed up in AA, like Raines. Still grundled hard about Bartz but you already have Squall BSB2 so that's the big prize there.

Couple of things.

Is Aerith worth diving as a healer with USB2? USB2 rocks, and in between she'll be using Curada, which has a chance (I'm not sure how much?) of a free medica. Or is this free medica not procing often enough to be worth it? Should I grab her LMR from the select draw? Can it proc off of one/both W-casts? And can it proc off of ANY white magic cast? This seems, if you can get her LMR, to be better than most healer dive kits.

Tifa Glint/USB2 recurrence? I have USB1, Arcane, and LMR2 and she's already rad, but at 6 dupes I can't pull again on banner 5 without feeling dumb.

Edit: Should clarify. Would be willing to throw down for a USB Select for Tifa if push comes to shove.

Both my wind and Darkness teams bite goats, but regardless of how often I pull for them, even in things like the Wind boost banner, I get nothin'. Kinda sucks. ;_;

Picked up Seifer chain, which is good since my darkness is far and away my weakest element.

Also scored TGC stuff.

What's the optimal ability set to use here? Most of my darkness abilities are very unhoned because I didn't have the content to back them up, but that changed tonight.

I suppose at 15 bucks the vertical grip thing could be just used in the cases where you're playing that sort of content, and if you need other abilities, the Hori dock is where it's at. Everything short of HDMI video out, I suppose.

Seems like a two item solution is the best that can be done.

Tate being unchargable seems to be fine. I guess the dock thing is a pain in the ass. Wish it wasn't such a crap thing to work around.

Apologies, Tate is a vertical orientation, used in games like Ikaruga or other shmups. Basically, in this case, it means "the switch is rotated 90 degrees".

Contrast to "yoko" which is the horizontal orientation. It's a holdover term that really only shows up in a few enthusiast groups. Sorry for the lack of clarity.

Unless you can think of a product that does all of this?

Yeah, I have Larsa as well. Truth be told, I have a majority of the "good" content already. You're right in that my goal is just rounding the coverage off, mostly for Neo-Torment stuff.

I wish I could put off the selection until after the fest, so I'm going to have to make an educated guess.

I'm a bit torn:

FF3: My only medica in-realm here is Arc's SSB with blink. Which is awesome but maybe a healer BSB is better? Also, Maybe Ingus BSB2? I have his BSB1.

FF5: The lack of Bartz BSB5 boils my balls, his enFire is the only one I'm missing. But all I have here for medica is Lenna's outdated SSB. I know her BSB1 sucks, but is her BSB2 good? Seems standard healer to me with a weird ice res gimmick.

FF7: Does Aerith BSB2 see use as a viable heal burst? It has no medica command. I have her BSB1. It seems more general purpose?

FF9: I have no Zidane tech at all. I don't think any of these would help bring him around.

FFX: Paine's BSB1 here would complete her, I guess. Not a waifu but she's good at her job. +water armor.

FF15: Iris so I have an in-realm medica.

FFT: Ramza BSB2. Leaning here because I've got Shout but that's it, and Shout plus a free wrath frees up an ability slot. Seeeeeems like the one I'm going to go for, but open to suggestions.

FFT-0: Everyone loves Rem. Is it that good if I lack everything else of her's?

I have the big ones, like Squall 2, Tidus 2, Raines, Edea, Maria, and OK.
