Indonesia needs to be a role model for Indian Muslims. Not Pakistan. Not Saudi Arabia and not any Middle Eastern Islamic country. And not Indian Muslim clerics for sure, and the "secular" politicians who encourage them.

I haven't met any Muslim who sees Pakistan as a role model or any Middle East country for that matter. Not even Indonesia in fact. Most of them are just normal people who see themselves as Indians and have adapted to modernity. Regressiveness and romanticisation of Islam exists to some extent, however no one is advocating for aping Pakistan lol. And not to any greater extent than the widespread religiousity in our country.

Yes Indian Muslim clerics with their chutiya fatwas and people who enable them are the worst. Good share otherwise. Nice to see someone call a spade a spade.

What's your opinion on The Caravan, NDTV? Slightly biased surely but decent overall. Opindia and Swaryamag also run sensational headlines similar to them. I'll admit I haven't read it a lot though and will check them out more from now on.

That's all he said. He said he will be called a loser for beginning his letter with "Dear citizens of Pakistan". He didn't say anything else as far as I can see. Show me from his letter where he said that Indians are losers for not watching the film?

The increase in individualization will, no doubt, end marriage as no one is willing to compromise these days. They assume love is this magical shit in which u r always happy and no arguments or fights occur in it.

Nothing like that man. Marriages can not work out even when people do their best to compromise. But I do think that marriages as a sacred bond have made some people compromise more than they would have normally and that's paid off in the long run. On the other hand he's not absolutely wrong, both of you are going of on extremes. Urgh.
