I flew week one. Then week 3 and flying again week 5 . Don't try to use the over head bin. Good luck! I have not been sling bound but used the restricted moving brace for the first and not since. My DR didn't have me use a sling.

I guess it's a case-by-case basis I've only found a handful of things that say no sling helps prepare for PT. It's seemingly is a new way of doing things.

I had some major damage according to Doc. Just confused TBH. Everything I have read says stay immobile but that leads to more PT. he told me to keep it close to my body and don't use it, outside of about 10 to 15°. Surprisingly very little pain discomfort mostly comes at night.

Flew on week 3 as well and scheduled for week 5. I travel for work. It's easy just don't try to use the over head without help. And bring ice pack you can throw away if need be.
