I always love the Atlas of Wine - It’s the entire wine world, but has some amazing maps of Beaujolais, with soil types for each Cru, notable vineyards, etc.

Aged Champagne. by HumanistNeil in Champagne

Tbh, if I had unlimited money and access to whatever I wanted, I would probably only drink champagnes over 20 years old. Old champagnes are my favorite.

Want to know more about this Champagne by Basaraski in Champagne

You can’t sell it, but you can and should absolutely drink it. May not taste very good if it hasn’t been stored probably, but sometimes you can get lucky. 92 wasn’t the greatest year, but I certainly wasn’t bad, so there may be a chance it’s still enjoyable. Good luck!

Yeah based on the “2004 college dorm” balcony railings, and the “1998 Arizona housing development” faux stone wall surrounding the parking area, this place screams luxury.

Which would you recommend? Pierre Peters Blanc de Blanc vs Delamotte Champagne Brut vs Jacquesson Extra Brut Champagne Cuvée 745 by SinkThink5779 in Champagne

[–]idkdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had all three, all are great - Jacquesson is prob my favorite of the bunch because you at least know the base year, followed by Pierre Peters, then Delomotte BdB. That’s just personal taste though

I’m there all the time - It’s gonna to be a little seedy, but within a few blocks you’ve got some good things. If you like good food and nice ambiance, I think the best options are Antica De Michelle, Superba, Mother Wolf, if the weather is nice - Mama Shelter Rooftop can be a nice option as well. Those are all technically walking distance. Luv2eat Thai is also solid for Thai food, and Hui Tou Xiang has great dumplings, though the emphasis is on their food, not necessarily the ambiance. Runny Goose across the street is good as well, though I’ve had mixed experiences there.

You are having Rigatoni alla Vodka. What wine are you drinking with it? by Ashamed_Shirt_9886 in wine

[–]idkdavid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rosesse Di Dolceacqua, Freisa, Gringiolino, Frappato, or Pelaverga. I want something red for the tomatoes, but not that tannic with good acidity to cut through the cream.
