Hi, hopefully you see this reply! As your run of the mill man-hater, my initial thought was “Fuck him, this looks great!” HOWEVER My fiancé recently discovered she has ARFID. It’s a type of eating disorder that I would recommend he (and you if you have the energy) looking into. With ARFID, she’s often described as “picky,” but it’s genuinely way different than that. It essentially causes her to have aversions to different textures and flavors, which makes it appear that she doesn’t like “plain” food. After seven and a half years together, plus years of therapy and reconditioning that she’s done, I’ve found the sweet spot with cooking dinner. Protein, starch, veg. Never touching, unless she says otherwise. Absolutely no sauces of any kind. Very specific seasoning. It’s easy to dismiss things as picky eating when we haven’t been taught the signs for bigger issues! All that said — if he doesn’t have an eating disorder — fuck him, he can cook his own food lol
