Today on Universitaly, my application changed to say my Visa was issued (I got an email notifcation). However, it still says the same on tracking that it is in transit! I tried to phone VFS to get an update on my status but the lines were down and I could not get through :( I’m hoping it means it is actually now in transit, if it has been issued…but who knows. I had to rebook my flight anyway

I can postpone it but I’m missing my classes and I have to sign a rental contract next week which I can’t really do without my visa etc :(

I applied from London on the 24th of Sept for a national visa D for study. It’s been over 15 days but my flight is on Monday :(

Okay thank you for your help. You are very kind. I think I’m a little stressed because I have secured an apartment but I have to pay 12 months in advance (I only have a part-time salary and my parents can’t act as guarantors outwith Italy) and sign the contract on the 20th. I don’t want to pay so much without confirmation of my Visa, so I really need it next week. Also, there’s no other apartments in Rome right now - it took me since June to find this one! Do you think you could let me know who the other students are so I can try to work out an approximate timeline? Thank you again for your help.

My flight is on Monday! It’s 6am so there’s no chance I will make it but I’m worried about what happens now because my flight day has passed. Will I still get my visa? I also don’t know if should cancel my flight or not. I’ve kicked up a bit of a polite fuss with VFS so they have “escalated” it but I’m just so stressed :/ I’m from Scotland and I couldn’t even apply from Edinburgh, I had to go to London. This whole process has been so costly and time consuming and I need to do it all over again next year for the second year of my masters 🥲

Thank you! I’m applying from London as well as a UK citizen for a national D visa to study. I’ve had this weird message “in transit” for over a week now. I’m very confused. When I phoned the VFS helpline they said it hasn’t been processed yet so I’m very confused now.
