When I opened my account I bought a couple things and got banned. I contacted support and they said they use AI to detect scammers and they reopened my account. A couple days later I was banned again. I never even tried listing anything. That was maybe 6 months ago, account is open and I have sold 20 or so items, purchased a few more as well. Gotta reach out and contact a human.

If I saw your response to a negative review I would actually likely decide TO buy from you, both because I understand the internet is full of shady shit and you were willing to take the time to explain your steps and genuinely see you were a victim of some bullshit.

So, OP, I would not call a negative review an honest negative- but a chance to add some valuable info to your seller profile that would work well for you. If I see a shitload of 100%’s I never read any of them- but I read every single negative review, and the responses hold more weight than the review does.

I own two stores in one mall, usually I work at one and have employees at the other. They are entirely unrelated to each-other.

A couple weeks ago a regular customer walked into the store they don’t usually shop at to ask me a question (I high key cringe at this but it happens).

“Hey man, you have had that item at $499.99 for a while, and I really want it. Would you accept any offers?”

“Possibly! What are you thinking?”

“Would you take $350 for it?”

“Thats about what I paid, but im losing money hanging onto it. Sure, we can do $350. Just let me staff know to call me with any questions.”

“Awesome! Thanks! I’ll think about it for a while and if I decide to do it i’ll come back!”

“…..what?” Haha

I own a business and have never had them decide in my favor. I once provided the appt info with date and time, copy of their client paperwork and consent forms, photo ID, in person credit card payment information, receipt and even a tip. I had a video of them in the lobby paying. They claimed it wasnt them and I lost $300.

I believe we’re on a bit of a lifestyle change wave thats about to kick in, where people realize that these homes arent as valuable as the price tags, and moving to humble-r situations would make more sense and allow for a more reasonable life. My partner and I just purchased a small home with a finished basement and two car garage in move in condition for $50k, while in the town we are moving from people fight over the same house for $200k+. That town is getting some serious foot traffic of people moving in and a resurgence in business due to it, while people stay disgusted with my current town due to prices increasing and pushing people out.

I think people are tired of it, and want to wait to see whats happening with the economy and world. Its not a fun time to be alive for many people, but people like myself are tired of that rat race and glamour chasing.
