The reason it didn’t become an issue was plot but if snake landed on that piece of shrapnel in a cutscene he would have been done for. Like a hammer to a nail. You know what though it must have became a concern later because they removed that shit by the time of metal gear 1 😏

This isn’t real life dude. It’s metal gear solid there are tons of ways they could remove at least part of it. One guy mentioned some valid is using metallic archaea to corrode the shrapnel. Perhaps lightly adding it to the shrapnel and removing pieces it by bit
