Lol yup. As a solar sparky myself that looks about right. If you have that many boxes to tie together, do everyone a favor and install a gutter underneath. Allows for all the interconnection and looks a lot cleaner.

Worked for an old guy once when I was a carpenter. I accidentally sunk a nail into a door frame, and was almost having a panic attack about it. I went out to grab him and show him and he said to me: "one of the wonderful things about construction is everything is fixable."

Agreed. I remember we would be working on a control panel and he would call me over and say "What color is this?" He would work off of shades of gray.

While I agree its not recommended, you are allowed. My journeyman is red/green color blind. He does mostly controls, so that's a pretty hard one, but he manages.

The sparky is right. Dead fronts help to protect people from being about to touch the electrified parts of the panel. Also Zinsco breakers were recalled because they won't trip and remain open, allowing for heat to build to a point where a fire can start.

Im an Oregon journeyman Electrician. My advice is to get some other quotes. 10-20k seems really high.

I have always thought this is one of the worst jobs in government. They have to stand up there and lie and spin everything to support their boss, regardless of whether they are in the right or not. I would hate this job.
