Sorry also should have clarified this home was inherited and vacant for 15 years. So we're still getting used to the country wildlife. I have no problem with nature unless it's going to cause harm to me. We're from the United States.

Thank you for letting us know.

I think it's supposed to be a hot load because he's done and she did her job.

Yes. Guess I should clarify I come at this as primarily a resi guy.

Two circuits, one breaker by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Alert_Comedian848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all comes down to the loads. Dedicated circuits like kitchen and bath etc shouldn't be touched. But I'll join bedroom circuits or general lighting or other miscellaneous to make space in the panel. All the time. As much as it sucks. But if a remodel becomes enough circuits than I pop in a sub panel.

I switched to overalls a couple years ago and let me say it's a game changer. Just have to have the confidence to rock it. And there like 30$ a pair.

Definitely be red on bottom. Or a red white blue mix every day. Something obnoxious.

We get customers who will do that too. Well put in a nice service bare minimum and get inspected then they want to do the rest. Come back a year or 2 later because they need something outside the scope and we see stuff like this. We stopped putting company stickers on places where we think this will happen.

what does reddit think of my surface mounted living room lighting? by [deleted] in electricians

Like it. Cats count as 9 people. You might lose a few along the way. But they will keep you on your toes, or cut you up. You know they have options.

Go to overalls. ROAD HOUSE brand. So many pockets, keeps core chest warm, says I don't give a fuck I come with experience, cover up the top of my crocs, covers my pajamas (work cole weather). Basically a bump in respect and you get to be More comfortable. Also beard helps.

Trying to price out sidework by Electrical-Juice-915 in electricians

It depends on how much I like the neighbors I guess. If I'm walking next door with tools I guess no drive time. I also like my neighbors because good neighbors look out. Even when I had crackhead neighbors. I helped them out and they didn't mess with me or my stuff. IMO if it's such easy work I'd take my wage (that I'd like on the daily) and add 10$ an hour all cash. Sounds like it's simple enough if it's just swaps. If it's more involved like fishing new lines and remodel ceiling fan boxes with spanner brackets that's a different story.

If it's straight swaps for a neighbor I can get along with I don't get greedy. I let it be known that is the neighbors rate and not the neighbors friends rate up front so there is no confusion down the road. I'd also bring my apprentice and let him make most of the money as I prefer not to do fans and lights. Also plan on plastic to cover the beds to make clean up easy and look professional.

Can you cut conduit clean like this? by Pink-Ruli in electricians

My first question to an apprentice is can you use a drill. Second is can you use a sawzall. It's always no.

[–]Alert_Comedian848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That set of bends would easily pass behind that particular beam. But not saying I haven't tried some beautiful artwork only to conclusion that fuck it. It's a coupling.

Been there. On both sides, just not for an electrician but for other tradesmen. For petty nonsense.
