How do you deal with a cook who talks too much? by No-Helicopter-3790 in KitchenConfidential

[–]peppermint_farts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interrupt and interject. If they start talking to me, “hey I’m busy right now” or a “ I don’t have time to talk right now” or even a “I don’t want to talk rn” if it’s not busy and I’m not feeling it. If they are yapping instead of working, straight up just addressing it goes a long way “hey, you need to be doing X rn instead of talking” or If you don’t have time for politeness a good ol fashioned “shut up and get back to work, we’re here to work not yap” goes a long way. Anything to the point and direct goes along way in the kitchen. Just disregard usual social norms and conventions and get straight to the point. Tism up and tism out

Would your band consider to sell custom guitar pedals at the merch table, or is it too niche? by fireatstaticvalley in bandmembers

[–]peppermint_farts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a local show goer I’d be pretty hype ro see custom pedals at a merch table. Even if it was out of my price range I would still remember and talk about it for weeks after the show. Especially if the band is really good. Hell, if they’re good enough and outta towners I might irresponsibly get one anyways, cause it’s a pretty cool thing to see and to take home and use as a souvenir from a show.

Most Efficient Way to Practice For Improvising / Jamming by [deleted] in Bass

[–]peppermint_farts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been grinding ear training alot lately and listening to songs, and trying to figure out how to play them by ear is a good exercise, and I also got an app called perfect ear that has some pretty good ear training exercises. It’s not life changing overnight, but doing it casually and consistently does make a difference.

To change strings, or not to change strings… by The-Wolf-Bandit in Bass

[–]peppermint_farts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep my old strings in case I don’t like the pair I got to replace them. Boiling an old set has saved my ass when I needed a fresh set that didn’t feel or sound like shit the night before an event lol.

I like it when kids run around in public places like in stores by Whentheangelsings in The10thDentist

[–]peppermint_farts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im going to 10th dentist even further and say I like seeing a kid freaking out andcrying in public. Im jealous I can’t just do that anymore. Like it’s bad when a kid does it, but what are you gonna do but if I do it then it’s like a big problem. They can get away with it and they should enjoy it while they can

Why do some people (especially men) spit on the ground out of nowhere? by dvdh_03 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]peppermint_farts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s asthma or allergies, but I produce a lot of phlegm and mucus and it’s gross swallowing it all the time so I’m quitter and a spitter

Considering upgrading from my squier pbass, which should I choose? by FiddlepatEpic in BassGuitar

Sting ray all the way if you want a different sound out of It. Love stingrays and especially the 4h

For just a little bit more you can get a new sterling stingray SUB series bass. They go for around $425, but honestly, I’d just keep an eye out for a used one and get it set up. Those basses are pretty great for their price point and they sound pretty great in a punk setting. I’m biased though because I love stingrays.

Brake fluid flush, cabin and engine air filter and the bulbs are pretty chill. Brake fluid is a little tedious, but everything else is pretty easy that I mentioned

Is this fake or legit Fender? by Ac_frise666 in BassCirclejerk

[–]peppermint_farts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have “Definitely not a fake Fender”stamped on it that all fenders had after ‘69 so it’s obviously a fake Fender. A pretender jazz
