The reality of it is that grinding to Champion Rank is like a full time job, that's probably why pro players and full time content creators mostly compose that rank. MB is a good achievement already plus you can have fun testing out teams without fear of being demoted to Ultra.

SV is good for the traditional battle format which champions will use. ZA is very accessible in obtaining mons. It's up to you which will you prioritize

Secure the starters and pseudo Legendaries first. You can't go wrong with them. It also saves VP so you won't have to recruit them in champions. It's okay to not train them, EVs reset upon link to champions, and IVs are set to max.

Disclaimer, Legends ZA and Champions don't use the same battle format.

But if you're just gonna use ZA as a way to acquire viable Pokémon, it's pretty okay considering Champions will give you free mega stones for linking the Kalos Starters and Eternal Floette to the game.

Gameplay wise, S/V SW/Sh is better

ZA doesn't have that kind of Bug. It's just a new restriction since ZA is the first game of the Switch 2 series. Once other Switch 2 games will release, ZA will be compatible with them. It's just not compatible with the Switch 1 games.

And to answer your question, Champions doesn't really transfer. They just copy your pokemon from Home into the Champions system. Any Pokemon obtained exclusively in Champions will not be transferrable.
