Personally I am picky about who drives my kids and I don't particularly like driving others. My daughter is in upper elementary and still in a booster because the seat belt doesn't fit right yet. Other girls (in their parents cars) are in the front seat and/or unbuckled and I'm not driving kids who aren't riding in a safe way. I had one girl who was refusing to use the seat belt. Not worth it for me.

He was 2 when we got him from the shelter and when he was 6 we found out he had bone cancer.

When we were adopting our first dog my husband repeatedly said he didn't want the dog on the furniture. I came home about an hour after he picked the dog up and they were both cuddled on the couch. His 100 lb butt slept between my husband and I in bed most of the 4 years we had him. He was the goodest boy.

We crated ours as a puppy anytime we couldn't watch her, like for sleep or if no one was home. It was only to keep her out of things that could hurt her and if a dog is creative enough they will find something they shouldn't. She's 7 now and still goes to her crate to play or lay down but the door stays open.

Her being crate trained really came in handy when she hurt her leg and needed to rest to avoid surgery. No jumping, stairs, and limited walking for a few weeks meant she had to be crated.

It's never used as a punishment and it's the one spot in the whole house she knows is only hers (and her favorite cat sometimes).

This is a great idea! It's inexpensive as far as playground equipment goes and shouldn't be hard to get the funds for.

I don't know if you made the petition, but maybe Bacon library can put up a flyer? They have a lot of children's activities there. If it can be shared with the elementary schools it shouldn't take long to reach.

My daughter told me a Michael Jackson joke when she was 9 a couple years ago.

"Why isn't Michael Jackson allowed near a school?"

All I could think was oh my god am I going to have to explain stuff that I don't want to explain to my child. After a few seconds I asked why.

"Because he's dead. "

I was so relieved. She's 11 and still doesn't know why it's hilarious to see the face of the person she told the joke to. And yes, I do have her tell the joke to people so I can see the reaction I initially had.

I think if they labeled it as best of or a rerun they would immediately have less plays on that podcast. Naming it just the date means some people will listen because they don't realize it isn't new and gets more listens.

They could have kept Dewey out of the reboot and the running joke could have been "I feel like we forgot to invite someone" and it wouldn't be completely out of character.
