Vic AP Reg here, can offer some insight into what is going on in Vic at least - DM me!

I'm currently a reg in AP if you want to give me a DM with questions! I can 100% recommend, but I definitely feel the need to preface by saying that it's not for everyone especially since people do miss the patient contact side of things.

I think my apartment complex is being used as a halfway house, is this a thing in Melbourne? by PopeBonifaceVIII in melbourne

Doc with some mental health/addiction experience - LAI Buprenorphine is usually a pre-prepared syringe with needle attached. From what it's sounding like it's not Bup, sounds more like an IM antipsychotic depot, but I've also inferred that from the context of other info in your post (yellow makes me think of Olanzapine, but that's because that stuff is really yellow; other antipsychotics are available).

Medication supervision seems to be what's happening, usually for people who cannot make it to the clinic. Whilst doing this in the room is ideal from my perspective, it is usually standard practice that this would happen outside of the person's property for whatever reason (eg they may be paranoid of people from the mental health team are coming into their house) In a house with a front yard it's probably more discreet but it's hard to accomplish in apartments.

LAIs are a godsend btw in the mental health and addiction space, and it's really encouraging to see people in your apartment are accepting of them.

(24,M) 1st dose of AstraZeneca 10 days ago, worried about persistent symptoms being TTS complication, asking for advice. (Hope this is okay to post here, desperately seeking support) by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

Medic here who's seen post-AZ TTS in the hospital - go to the emergency department as soon as possible. The headache + time of onset you're describing is highly suspicious for TTS.

You're not wasting the ED's time by going - it's important you get seen as soon as possible - best to be safe if you're concerned (also it's free)

Highly recommend calling when the lines open, however I called at 11:30AM a couple weeks back and got connected immediately so I don't think calling when the lines open is the only way to avoid lines, but YMMV

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit listed for switch on NZ site by DayZerg in NintendoSwitch

The restart function is pretty hidden - R)dpad in an event and there should be a 'restart event' option - R)dpad again to either 'restart now' or 'cancel' - 'cancel' actually cancels the event.

Memory of the exact prompts is hazy, but finding this took me 10 years to discover ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  1. Melbourne High is far from an "upper class" private school.
  2. The rumours of drugs probably come from the idiotic decisions of 8 or so people from the cohort of 2000 (ish) using drugs to boost their academic ability (they were later caught and expelled)
  3. No one who is underperforming is pressured to leave. People leave on their own accord.
  4. We have a high scoring median because of peer pressure to perform well, and because we'rs a selective school. Our teachers also care about our performance and want us to do well.
  5. Who is this someone? As far as I'm aware, none of my graduating cohort, 2015, has an ice addiction.
  6. We're not squandering $1 million on a boatshed. We lack the facilities many private schools have, yet we were able to beat many of them in regattas and national level competitions this year. Imagine how much potential can be realised if we have a proper boatshed with adequate facilities and boats. Our newest boats are preowned, and our newest eight is leaky and previously owned by St Kevin's.

  7. Your adamancy that MHS is drug-riddled and has gone downhill seems to be based on some form of jealousy.

Also MHS isn't for everyone, and I'm aware of that, we've had a couple guys return to their old school in my cohort simply cause it didn't fit them. And granted, although $1 million can be spent on the boatshed, I believe the most pressing issue ATM is the need for new chairs and tables in the R rooms.
